WIBU to visit mainland Europe to see my partner?

My partner lives and works in mainland Europe, I'm in London - I can get to him in 2 hours on the Eurostar. Before lockdown I would do so 2 x a month, and he'd come here 1 x a month.
I last saw him in early March and miss him terribly. I've been following the guidelines to the letter, and so with the introduction of support bubbles and European mainland borders re-opening next week, WIBU to travel to see him? I'd wear full mask, gloves etc and am happy to quarantine myself on return.

Nope, go for it and have a lovely time.

As long as Belgium/France (depending on where he is) have no travel restrictions for Brits, then I'd go for it. As you probably know, you shouldn't go out to the shops when you're in quarantine back in the UK, so it's maybe worth making arrangements in advance for food deliveries during your quarantine period.

@Alaimo I've checked and there are delivery slots that'll work for the next 2 weeks as I live alone. Not planning on going to the shops when back!

Won't you be subject to a 2 week quarantine when you return, though?

EinsteinsFineWine · 14/06/2020 17:29

Sorry - seen you are prepared to quarantine on return.

Any insurance is likely to be invalid but otherwise sounds ok

I’m taking kids to italy early July
They haven’t seen their dad for 6 months
I’ll also self quarantine for a bit when I get back
Life has to start again
