I want one partner wants three children.

We are trying for our first baby.

I love children and have always dreamed of being a mother. I also fear I will be a bad mum due to my impatience. I am determined to do my best. I also struggle with insomnia and can't stand caos and screaming and have very little experience with kids. Hence why I think one is more suitable. I am one of three kids myself and I adore my siblings, I do however feel my parents were too inpatient and unhappy to give us the best childhood.

Did having two complicate things?

Nope, then we had two more! We loved our big family anyway but I have to say that having siblings has made lockdown an amazing thing for my kids. They've played together, learnt together, looked after each other. The toddler has learnt things he wouldn't have picked up until reception because he has been joining in with homeschooling our 4 year old. Bigger families get so much flack especially on Mumsnet but this was one situation where the benefit of our kids having lots of siblings shone through. No regrets whatsoever.
Anyway, back to the question.. I'd see how you feel after the first. You never know.

No not at all, my Dd and Ds are 2.5 years apart. Both now at school. They get on so well, the family's complete and wouldn't have it any other way.
