Super JoJo vs. Cocomelon

This is a very important issue.

Are there any other parents of toddlers, who watch YouTube, and have seen both Super JoJo and Cocomelon?

I've been amazed at how Super JoJo rips off Cocomelon!! Sometimes even frame by frame! Most of the songs have exactly the same subject matter, different tune used to say the same thing, even the main baby characters, JoJo and JJ. Both have older brother, middle sister, mum and dad are the PERFECT parents and seem to never have to work but have beautiful mansion-esque houses with an abundance of ridiculous toys for the children to play with. But when I google it to see if maybe there's a reasonable explanation (like they're both made by the same company), there's absolutely no information about them.

AIBU to spend my days and nights obsessing over this trivial major issue? To contact the press and demand answers? Maybe start a law suit?

Gosh don't get me started on cocomelon I think the overly bright colours they use in the graphics put toddlers in a trance! Baby Bus is worse though, so repetitive! In one of their songs I swear they say 'I'm a firefighter about 10,000 times!'

Urgh the CocoM dad is minging, and he’s such a wet mop! You can’t fancy him when he’s performing Peekaboo! Surely??

The mum has a mullet and cross eyes. Why does JJ have like two teeth and no hair (so 6-10 months old perhaps), but goes to nursery with hirsute, toothy children, and he walks and talks?! And eats giant filthy breakfasts consisting of muffins and biscuits and syrup 🤤 excuse me...

I quite like ChuChu TV, is it Indian? The music sounds quite South Asian with a distinctive Bollywood flavour, it’s a step up from ‘No no no I don’t wanna eat the BROKLEE’. Plus their Johnny Johnny is one of the better ones.

Is super jo jo on Netflix?

DD loves Blippi. I don't stop her from watching it but my god does that man creep me out. I think he's the next pee wee Herman.

And yes the JoJo thing is fucking weird. I thought I was having some kind of cognitive breakdown when I first saw it as it was basically CocoM but slightly distorted! Thought my eyes were playing tricks!

Blippi shat on his friends face in some weird shock jock comedy guise he tried out before hitting it big with Blippi (big with 3yr olds that is).

He got an injunction out a little while ago as it was obviously a bit damaging to his current career, but it’s a well-known fact and you can still search for the story online

I'd play peekaboo with him 😂 nah, jokes aside I think he started to become more fanciable after I saw JoJo's dad, who is just a weed.

Super JoJo is on YouTube but FIL said he saw it on CBeebies the other day, I'm not sure if he actually did though, it doesn't strike me as TV show material.

When I googled ChuChuTV earlier it did say it was founded by an Indian man I think so that does make sense. DD sometimes stumbles across a channel called Infobells which has the same songs in lots of languages like Hindi, Bengali, Urdu etc. I don't mind those, the songs are good and I love the idea of DCs learning a language like Hindi.

If anybody gets the time and doesn't mind admitting to themselves that they may need more of a life, I recommend watching 'the boo boo song' on Cocomelon and Super JoJo. With your toddler of course. That one in particular is just out and out plagiarism, it makes me think that some disgruntled ex Cocomelon employee decided to take their ideas and do it better elsewhere.

Really, I can't believe I'm talking about this like it's the next biggest news story, but I've made peace with what my life has become.

Dd has largely grown out of cocomelon, but the boo boo song was one of her favourites. I'm not sure I'd dare bring it back up again...
These things totally matter though and thank you for bringing it to my attention
I've still not recovered from the cocomelon rip off of baby shark, which is rather sanitised and much less fun than pinkfong's.

JJ's age really bothers me! At nursery he talks fluently, but when he's getting ready for nursery the song seems to be more of a monologue, with his actual communication being pointing and gurgling. Sometimes he has a bed, sometimes a cot (which he can easily climb out of), and his still primary school aged siblings can take him out unsupervised. Oh, and he's coordinated enough to attempt to lasso a sheep. It's bizarre.

I think blippi is quite easy on the eye too. I've not watched that video I don't want to lose the mystery.

Cocomelon is getting a little much at this point in lockdown! So much better than little baby bum though! Ive seen a little of super jojo, it's a total rip off.

Is it just me that finds yoyo in CM weird? And what's with the apples and bananas song! Aaples and banaynays?!

DD has recently got into Super Supremes.
Their song about just wanting to watch TV and eat junk food really resonates with her.

Its Loulou kids all the way in our house. Which is a weird one, because the baby's dad is sometimes shown as an old guy and sometimes it's a younger guy with a moustache. I think there's some polyamory going on. I think it's the highest ranking Johnny Johnny video and it's pretty crap.

My DD was obsessed with some random cartoon she found on youtube called Baby Ronnie. Its possibly the worst thing on youtube kids with an obnoxious little shit called Ronnie whose parents need to step up and discipline their child. It's clearly been made in India because the characters all have strong accents, but everyone is white for some reason.

Cocomelon is also on Netflix!

I love the ooples and boonoonoo song!! I think it's to help with phonics.

It's one of my weapons in the battle to get DD to eat fruit.

I find it helps when watching Blippi to imagine what scandalous things he gets up to when he's not being a kids presenter. This has been made easier by that video up thread. He really does look the type and for once my suspicions were correct!!

Baby Ronnie is such a douchebag! He’s always scoffing all the biscuits and not taking turns and other obnoxious behaviour.

My problem is that DD wakes up very early and I’m barely human before I’ve had a coffee, so I shove the iPad in front of her while I wake up, something innocent around shapes and counting... next thing I know Baby Ronnie is shoving some kid in a puddle or that awful brat Ryan is on, screaming at his hapless parents for more toys 🙄

I hate Ryan's family. Especially the dad who seems to be acting up to make it look like he's being exploited as much as his kids.

I got my first dose of baby Ronnie this morning. His name seems to conveniently become Johnny when the song requires it to. He's also very annoying, I found myself missing JoJo

Oh and he wouldn't get in the bath until his sister took the first plunge. I'm going to start calling him Little Joffrey.
