take a loose night nurse capsule I found in the pocket of my handbag?
It's there about 6 weeks Confused
I take one the odd time if I've got a cold and been sleeping very badly.
The last time I was about to take one and go to bed, my phone rang and I put it in the pocket of my bag as I took my phone out of said pocket, forgot it was there. Just discovered it now.
I'm so very tired and have had a terrible time with sleeping for about a week, have been awake until around 3am. I desperately want an early night.
I'm aware you should not take medication which has not been stored properly and I should put it in the bin... But it's looking at me! 🤣 I most likely will bin it but was wondering what improper storage would do to such medication? Would it render it almost useless or could it actually be dangerous?

I’d take it but I’m pretty reckless with stuff like that. The need for sleep would come first.

Notimeforaname · 12/06/2020 21:43

Ah Doggybiccys that's exactly what I wanted to hear Grin I like to think I'm reckless too but I'm being a bit of a wimp with this...

Cor blimey - just take it you need a rest.

covidco · 12/06/2020 21:44

As long as you are sure that is what it is, then it'll be fine.

thistimelastweek · 12/06/2020 21:44

I wouldn't think about it.
I'd just do it.
(Only as a one off mind you. That Night Nurse is serious shit)

Notimeforaname · 12/06/2020 21:46

Thanks ladies...that's all I need to hear! I'm taking it. Oh sweet sweet sleep here I come!!! Smile

I would take it. You’ve got to be desperate to be considering NN, it’s potent stuff whatever is in it. In fact sometimes makes me feel so groggy I feel worse.

pickingdaisies · 12/06/2020 21:53

Good night sleep tight!

Notimeforaname · 12/06/2020 21:53

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat I'd say I've only ever taken it maybe 5 times in my life? But my god did it knock me out! Felt like I'd downed several bottles of pinot gregio. Partner will take it every time he has a cold though.. coz he's a wimp

Thank you pickingdaisies! I'm counting down. I'd say I'll be out for the count in about 30 minutes 🙏

Sleep well.

I've taken it once in my life. I slept but it was not really a peaceful sleep so still got rest of the bottle about 3 years later

As long as the capsule is intact and In certain what I'm I'm taking being stored lose at the bottom of my bag would not stop me.

wanderlove · 12/06/2020 22:22

Take it! Wouldn't occur to me not to if you know what it is. There's no sleep as sweet as a night nurse sleep!

Windyatthebeach · 12/06/2020 22:24

It's not an E op. Just swallow it!!

Knobblybobbly · 12/06/2020 22:24

Yes I would definitely take it. I prefer the liquid though, feels more potent and looks like the kind of thing a wicked witch would inject into an apple.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 12/06/2020 22:25

Hope you’re sleeping soundly OP!

Notimeforaname · 12/06/2020 22:30

I'm not asleep yet 😭it's been 45 minutes. I feel a little woozy.... I thought I'd be out for the count by now Sad

It's not an E op. Just swallow it!! 😂 kinda wish it was. Then I certainly wouldn't mind being up all night

Night Nurse always gives me nightmares. I don't take it for that reason. It's actually in the leaflets as one of the side effects!
