Do you have an Oxbridge postgraduate degree? How was your time there?

I'm thinking hard about applying for a couple of different courses at these universities. Obviously I probably only have a small chance of being offered a place. I am curious though about how others found their postgrad experience there?

Did you find the workload challenging?

At undergrad, both unis of course have a reputation for excellent lectures/ tutorials/ seminars, that's pretty much where the appeal lies in applying at all for me - but wondered if people are also happy with the teaching at postgrad level? Or if you did a research degree, were you happy with the feedback and support from your supervisor?

Dh did. Was very happy with supervision and contact time.

Oh that's good to hear! I've read a lot of varying things.

Some also suggest that the 'value' of an Oxbridge degree really only applies to the undergraduate courses. I don't see how that can be though? They're still a tough crowd to please - you can't just expect to be offered a place for a MA or DPhil, even with a decent application?
