@Crystaltree

Sun said it was a 'sick taunt'. They proved JK right by sending someone to nobble him in Portugal (not an easy matter atm) and let him sound off and admit he did it (not easy to get people to come out with incriminating stuff like that). Yeah it's written up in a trashy way. But it reaches a lot of men, which is important. No point moaning in our lady echo chamber and expecting things to change.
Not hard. Male reporter already out there offers tosser lots of money to dish the dirt on the woman who fucked him off and then became a millionaire, pretends to be his best mate, tosser has a few drinks and brags about how he 'only' gave her the odd slap, hack emails the story.

Would be interesting to know what expenses were actually incurred in the obtaining of this story.

Actually, I think they’ve given him a platform to out himself as a domestic abuser and confirm her story

Because women NEED men to validate their stories? Otherwise they could be just making it up? Hmm

Of course not, but sometimes it's a case of giving them enough rope to hang themselves.

I'm not suggesting the Sun did this in good faith, or that it's ethical or fine journalism. I'm just saying that he's been given a chance to make himself look even worse, to show his true shitty, abusive, unrepentant colours to the world, and the bastard has gone and taken it. Now nobody can accuse her of lying about it either.

Glad Robert Webb still has his head screwed on correctly. He's worth a million Owen joneses.

Sadly this is what people have been saying about JKR following her essay - including self-proclaimed ‘feminist’ Josie Long, disgracefully.

So yes, unfortunately her account did need to be validated as there were many implications that she’d made it up.

Handily, her abuser opted to validate her claim himself. On the front page of a national newspaper.
