About my business?

I recently started a business making crafty things. I researched, found places to buy my supplies. Taught myself and learned along the way. I've been doing it for about 6 months now.
Recently as I've gained my followers on social media I've had more messages asking how I got started and where I get my supplies from.
AIBU being annoyed at this? I just think I wouldn't be cheeky to ask another business selling the same thing how they do it and where they get their supplies from. I'm their competition and would feel cheeky asking. But these people are asking me?
Ive ignored them and haven't responded to these messages because I don't know what to say.

Carry on ignoring them. You've done the research, why give it to anyone?

It’s cheeky, but I doubt they’re all your competitors per se - they’ll mostly be people who like your stuff but can’t afford it / don’t think it’s worth the price you’re asking who want to make their own. You won’t gain their custom in any case. Yes, just ignore, or keep a stock C&P message saying you did your market research online and suggest they do likewise.

We had similar to this. We make personalised items (or used to before lockdown, on hold now).

We’ve had all sorts of messages from people just starting...where do you get xyz from, which paint do you use, who supplies your xyz.

We spent hundreds of hours and pounds during our research phase finding the best paints and wood and suppliers and methods...no way am I just telling people! I just block them and don’t respond.

Haha windy maybe I should try that one.
despair maybe not all but a few have been blatant.
iris Excatly I've put alot of time into finding out where to source things. Time to teach myself how to do this craft and it just annoys me that other people just want the info handed to them.
