How fast is photobox?

Anyone ordered from photobox recently? They are estimating 17/06 for standard (£6.98), 16/06 for first class (£8.98), and 13/06 for 1pm special delivery (£20.98).

So, I know they aren’t guaranteeing sooner than those dates, but are they generally quicker getting stuff out?

Would it BU to order first class and hope it gets here by Saturday (birthday date) or is that unlikely? Other stuff has been coming out much quicker than that, so the post itself seems to be fine. Wondering if anyone’s got direct experience in last few weeks.

I use PhotoBox. They are good quality, cheap and easy to use (one can edit them) but they take about 8/10 working days. I think it's highly unlikely PhotoBox will deliver by Saturday.

If you want a smaller number of prints quickly then put them on a memory stick and go to a large Tesco or Asda store where they have a photo printing machine. They take about 3 mins and cost about 50p each.

I ordered a few prints from photobox. There were only 6 in the order, so not a massive job, and it took ages for them to arrive. Around 10 days I think. This was pre covid as well.

I've used Snapfish in the past too, and from memory they were much faster.

Oh that’s good to know! No chance at all then 😆 it’s some printed items rather than photos -

If anyone knows of any alternatives that would be handy!!!

Hmm even for the 1pm delivery it’s only ‘estimated’ to arrive by Saturday! I’d be pissed off if I spent £20 and it was still late..

I used them before Christmas- ordered them a good 3 weeks before and they were supposed to arrive within 48 hours so thought I had plenty of time, but they didn’t arrive until New Year, every time I phoned they ‘guaranteed the next day’ but it didn’t happen. I emailed them before Christmas to say not to send them as it was too late, (I ended up getting them done same-day in Tesco), but they sent them still. To get a refund I had to chop the pictures up and send them a photo- seemed a bit extreme since it was only about a fiver! I wouldn’t use them again.

Yes I ordered some 3 weeks ago with an estimated delivery date 7 working days later (given COVID I thought this was reasonable, but they didn’t arrive until 5 days after that date so it was almost 2 full weeks in the end. That was standard delivery.
