We have recently reserved a new build and agreed a price on our current house as part exchange.
The valuations were done and the offer price was made on the condition of the property as it was, which is still a bit of a work in progress in terms of decoration.
We're awaiting the survey, and part of the contract says that any issues found in thr survey which would stop the developer reselling would need to be put right at our cost. Is this fair, or a bit subjective?
Am I right in thinking this is to do with structural issues? Or can they ask us to redecorate / fit new kitchen / whatever recommendations a homebuyer report makes to increase how saleable the house is? Aibu in wanting to leave it as is and still expecting the sale to go ahead?
