To want a bike

I really want to start cycling...does any one know anything about folding bikes? I love the Brompton bike but it's soooo expensive...is it worth it? Or are there cheaper versions?

The thing with folding bikes is because you will be folding and unfolding it loads the parts where you are holding/unfolding will wear so you should get the most expensive folding bike you can afford.

Personally for starting off just get anything that fits you. Then if you are using it a lot get a more expensive bike. This means you will have two bikes but the cheaper one can be your station/leave where it may get nicked bike.
