To think this is not what people should be encouraging?!

Just to be clear this is not intended to be a discussion of whether people agree or disagree with free movement.

I've seen this posted a few times over the last 24hrs and I just find the telling people how to answer and encouraging voting numerous times under different names or initials so warped.

If the tories are cherry picking who sees this then yes, it should absolutely be shared more widely for everyone to have a say. But for gods sake encourage people to do some reading around the topic and to answer based on what they truly believe is the right thing.

I'm seeing more and more of this single hive mindset/thought policing recently and I'm sad to say that it's frequently coming from the left (or maybe that's just what I'm seeing more of). Has it always been this way or am I only just noticing it?! I think social media is responsible for a lot of it but are people so unable to formulate their own opinions that they need someone to tell them how to answer FOUR QUESTIONS?!

Thanks I hadn't seen this survey. I'll look for it and take it now. People have been mislead by the tories and unless you want to have a Visa to go to benidorm its important that we all answer in the best way.

I agree that people need to be aware of this and their right to contribute.
My issue isn't with whether people agree or not, it's more the people TELLING others how to answer it that I find bizarre. They aren't complicated questions, and there are 4.

I haven't seen anyone telling anyone how to answer it, just that they should so it's not just little Britainers that do

It must sadly be people I follow then!

Well, we live in a democracy so you could say it is collecting the views of the electorate. The electorate can answer yes or no to the 3 questions asked.

However, I think they could have done a far more extensive survey guaging a much wider view of the opinions of the electorate before the immigration bill was developed.

Also I would not have known about the survey if you hadn't provided the link so not sure how many if the population are aware if it. How did you find out about it?

Have you read my OP?

I've seen it being shared across social media with people saying 'answers - no, yes, no, no - vote as many times as you can and use fake names and initals'

I am not talking about whether we should have been made aware of it. I'm talking about the one hive mind that is being pushed.

the one hive mind being pushed... by the people you are in contact with. In other places, right-wingers could be pushing for it to be answered with the opposite answers, or kept hidden (as it mainly has been). Seems to me you just wanted a chance to jump on "lefties".

I don't only follow lefties though. I haven't seen anyone on the right do the same.

That isn't what it's for. It's a push poll. The website address doesn't exist apart from that page and it only asks a handful of info but collects contact details.

It will only be sent to those who's advertising profiles indicate they are already anti immigration. The only data which will be used is the information about themselves that people give which will be added to marketing lists.
