KFC at home

MandyJane71 · 07/06/2020 17:42

I bought myself KFC (first time in months) and brought it home. I ate half yesterday and warmed the rest up (a 2 piece and chips) today for lunch. My partner said it smelled terrible and asked me to open the window and close the kitchen doors. Later he said that I must either only bring it home when he isn't here or only eat it if willing to open windows in the kitchen and close kitchen doors. He hates KFC and McDonalds and very rarely eats their food. Is this normal behaviour? Anyone else have this?

Reheated day-old KFC? Fuck, that's disgusting, I bet it stank to high heaven. What's so bad about having the window open anyway?

AftonGlen · 07/06/2020 20:28

I voted yanbu but yabu for re-heating, KFC tastes amazing the next day when cold, I prefer it cold the next day to when it is fresh

Some people have got certain deal breakers with certain foods. I think it would be an issue if he was like that with everything you are, but one food type is reasonable. Also I do agree that reheated fast food is a stronger smell than the first time around.

*ate

So bloody rude to start a thread and abandon it @MandyJane71. So YABU.

My husband isn’t allowed to eat Chat Masala or black salt when I am at home. I think he’s being pretty reasonable for allowing it provided you ventilate the house.

Kfc is the absolute worst 🤮🤮 if my partner eats it at home he has to put the rubbish in the outside bin. Disgusting. Dunno how anyone eats it tbh. Stinks and the chicken is grey... yuckkkk!

Bluesheep8 · 09/06/2020 15:49

*You bought a two piece meal with chips and only ate half? Like, one piece and 10 chips?

I can’t get my head round this bit.*

Neither can I. I mean I don't even like KFC but what on earth was the point? Confused

Uncoordinated · 09/06/2020 15:56

Reheating a KFC is pretty rank to be honest , wouldn’t even consider it

Juanmorebeer · 09/06/2020 16:05

I love KFC and all dirty food but I can't get over having any leftovers and saving them. I've literally never seen or heard of anyone doing this.

Pebblexox · 09/06/2020 16:37

I cook with my window open anyway. I can't stand smells lingering, even the nice ones 😂

LuckyAmy1986 · 09/06/2020 16:40

I love KFC but would never reheat it that’s gross!

altiara · 09/06/2020 16:43

I like KFC but the smell of mac Donald’s makes me heave!
Don’t think it’s abnormal to have windows open and doors closed if something is stinky.
