To ask our cleaner to come back to work?

We live in Scotland and have been paying our cleaner throughout lockdown. She said a few of our clients have asked her to return to work about a week ago and she has done that and is happy to come back to work in our home too. One of the reasons we have a cleaner is that I have dust allergy and hand eczema, so cleaning is a real problem for me. We would love to have her back but the only reason we haven't is 1) because we think it isn't within the rules and 2) of what the neighbours would think. In fairness, we have been pretty stringent sicking to the rule s and not all our neighbours have, so perhaps that isn't really a consideration. What would you do?

Mine came back this week for the first time. We were all out.

Op, I'm a cleaner. I'm not sure about the rules in Scotland, but I am back to work 3 weeks now. If they do return, just be sensible. I have asked clients to stay away from me, keep their houses well aired and if they can go out and sit in garden weather permitting. I'm wearing gloves, but no mask. Cleaning is a hot enough job without passing out with a mask on.

It is within the rules so who cares what the neighbours think? They can judge away, they will be wrong!

Alot of people have their cleaners back. Thought the government said if you cannot work from home and your sector is not shut eg leisure, then go back to work. People are having their homes decorated and plumbers and handymen in. Part of re-starting the economy so if you want her back, then go for it. Obviously better if you are out at the time, or in the garden or perhaps are upstairs whilst she is downstairs then swap.

We have invited our cleaner to start back next week. Our youngest has gone back to the childminder and my husband will go out with our eldest daughter while she is here. I will be in the study which is off our utility room and behind 2 closed doors so am comfortable that we can social distance while she is here. She's bringing her own gloves and mask. She says we are the first house she is coming back to and i feel comfortable with that. I also trust her to stay away if she has symptoms and likewise we have always in the past advised her if we had sickness bugs so this would be no different.
