To think it's ridiculous to call posters trolls because they disagree with someone?

This is becoming more and more common. A troll, to me, is someone whose sole goal is to be deliberately goady or inflammatory in order to upset a poster or derail a thread. Not someone who says, 'actually Marjory I don't necessarily think that's true'.

It seems that as soon as someone posts an alternative viewpoint, they are immediately being labelled a troll. It's a bit tiresome and stifling debate in some cases.

Completely agree - it’s a term that’s used way too much along with ‘gaslighting’ and ‘be kind’.

I've seen it 3 or 4 times today when it was just someone disagreeing with another poster. Nobody was 'trolling' anyone.
