Returning an item help?

I ordered 2 pairs of jeans from Topshop, I had an email saying they had been delivered but no parcel had been delivered to my house.
I got in contact with Topshop who basically refunded me straight away!
Few days later they were delivered to my door so I'm guessing they were delivered to wrong address and somebody was kind enough to deliver them to me.
Annoyingly, the jeans don't fit. Would I be able to return them to Topshop, even though I've already had a refund? Or should I sell them privately?

Speak to Topshop.

Or you could do the right thing and let them know they’ve arrived and you want to return them ???

PawPawNoodle · 05/06/2020 13:04

Contact them - you may find that they advise you to just keep them (I've had this happen when I contacted a different company for store credit outside of the return period which I know is slightly different, I was refunded and advised to keep or donate the items) or may want them back if they've raised a dispute with the courier. I personally wouldn't be able to keep them in good conscience.

Why do you think it would be ok to what is in essence steel from them?

dontdisturbmenow · 05/06/2020 13:08

steal!

Lockeduporknockedup · 05/06/2020 13:12

Obviously it's not ok to not to tell them and sell them on. Obviously that's stealing. Are you for real? Call them up, say they've arrived and you'd like to return them because they don't fit.

SoupDragon · 05/06/2020 13:13

Why would you not just return them with a note on the returns form that you've already been refunded?

AvoidingRealHumans · 05/06/2020 13:19

You need to contact them and let them know what has happened.

Then you need to re purchase in your correct size with the refund you received, if you don't want any new Jean's you follow what they tell you to do - keep them and do as you wish or return if that is what they request.

This has happened to me a few times and I always tell them, 9 times out of 10 they let me keep it anyway so it pays to be honest
