Anyone watch When Calls the Heart, made by Hallmark and set in 1910?

I was just watching and couldn't help laugh at Jack's outfit, he looks great but that outfit looks more Topshop than 1910

Am I right or would they have dressed like this?

You are so right!! He looks like he arrived in a time machine.
It's laughable- guessing he'd be working class he would have been wearing a shirt with a stiff starched detachable collar, - even poor men wore them - maybe a necktie, a waistcoat (with fob watch if he could afford one), trousers & braces, hobnail boots & a flat cap or similar. His clothes may be slightly grubby.
Also if she was poor wtf is she doing wearing white?! She'd be wearing a brown dress. & shawl.

Actually just seen it's set the in USA so not a flat cap! Maybe a Stetson!

I rather enjoyed watching this, like ScarfLadysbag, it was a guilty pleasure. I think there was every cliche from little house on the prairie to downtown abbey shoehorned in there. In the end I gave up watching because the clothes, the perfectly styled modern hair and the highlights had got to me!!

It was a bit delightfully ridiculous and fluffy. Might watch it again.

I'm only on season 3 but I'm one of those who doesn't mind spoilers, and I understand Daniel Lissing who plays Jack leaves the show after S5, I think he's killed off. That's all I know!

I’m wondering if his jeans have a zip or not? Zips as we know them didn’t come into use until about 1917. Trousers had button fasteners. Useless piece of trivia knowledge 😁.

I love this show, cried sooooooooo hard at a lot of it.
