Advice on bounced cheque

Can anyone help. My other half has just had a quite substantial cheque from a company bounce. I think it's because it is over 6 months old. It's an insurance company so he can't get through to them after being on the phone this morning. Do you think we have any chance of getting the cheque reissued?

Have a look on the insurance companies website and see if there's a contact us form or email. I would then email explaining the cheque issue, confirming the cheque details and ask for it to be reissued. Shouldn't be a problem
