To be absolutely fed up of people complaining about other people?

It's absolutely incessant. Shrieks of 'have you seen the beaches/parks/roads?! No one's taking it seriously, everyone's just going out. It's ridiculous!'

People are allowed to go to parks and beaches and to drive on the roads now. People are allowed to meet in groups of up to six. And yet everyone around me, online and in real life, seem to have developed a strange obsession with how many people are out, even if they themselves don't intend to go to the park or beach, or, even more irritatingly, when they have been but think that it's a disgrace that others are there.

I know it's been difficult for us all, but the glee with which others are now judging people for daring to try to live some sort of life is irritating the fuck out of me. AIBU?

I completely agree. I have a friend who drove to the coast and had a "panic attack " because of how many others were there. Some people have gone quite nuts.

JoesExotic · 01/06/2020 16:59

I dont think it's necessarily U to think that. A solicitor once said to me 'people do what they do' and Ive never forgotten it.

I can't say I approve of some of the sights I've seen etc but hey....people do what they do. Theres very little point in it upsetting me.

Marriedtoapenguin · 01/06/2020 17:00

Fed up of people complaining about people? You're on the wrong site then.

Thighmageddon · 01/06/2020 17:01

I've got an issue with all these dickheads descending on beaches, beauty spots and parks and leaving all their shit and litter everywhere, causing fires with their crappy little disposable bbq's. Making it impossible for the locals to go out safely themselves.

Why people can't just stay local for a short while longer I'll never know.

Prisonbreak · 01/06/2020 17:01

Such a ironic post

Laaalaaaa · 01/06/2020 17:02

Irony lost on you there hun?

Ghostlyglow · 01/06/2020 17:02

I'm just watching the news with people saying how 'scary' it all is.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 01/06/2020 17:03

I have a friend who drove to the coast and had a "panic attack " because of how many others were there.

People like that drive me nuts. I bet it never occurred to her not to drive there in the first place.

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/06/2020 17:03

You’re doing it too Hmm

malificent7 · 01/06/2020 17:05

I am horrified by the litter and poo on the beach. I went to the beach, it was sociallly distanced and we took our litter home.

PhilCornwall1 · 01/06/2020 17:05

People will do what they do, always have and always will. Getting wound up over it achieves nothing, you'll never stop them and if you tried, the outcome wouldn't be pleasant.

Moumia · 01/06/2020 17:10

And yet here you are moaning about other people!

dancinguser · 01/06/2020 17:12

Sorry I didn't even bother to read the post as I couldn't get over the ridiculous hypocrisy in the title.

PhilCornwall1 · 01/06/2020 17:19

I'm just watching the news with people saying how 'scary' it all is.

People need to get real, it's not scary at all.

Dougab · 01/06/2020 17:29

If people want to complain about people doing something different then fine, at least it'll be a bit interesting, but it's just the beaches/parks/roads complaint on repeat. The news, social media, real life, just an obsession. Several times a day complaining about the same thing. Photos upon photos of the bloody beaches, followed with 'mind, that's ridiculous. Isn't it ridiculous what people are doing? Going out to the beaches?' It is driving me mad. It's all my family can talk about.

People need to get real, it's not scary at all. I do agree, but I can see why some people are scared. It's not helped by the constant doom mongering.

YANBU, it is getting a bit tedious. But it’s been going on from the get go - I remember before lockdown even began, when we were just beginning to be told to social distance and avoid the pub a woman on my local spotted page posted with outrage along the lines of ‘can’t believe the amount of people I’ve seen walking their dogs today, running and even on bikes! Haven’t you been listening??? We’re supposed to stay inside!’ It never took long for common sense to leave the building. I hope she felt like a first class pillock when Boris Johnson did his lockdown
announcement telling people they could still exercise.

Dougab · 01/06/2020 18:40

Yeah, it has been going on for ages, and it’s not helped by the media. I love my family dearly but I can’t take another day of the outrage over people have the audacity to leave their houses. Some of them have decided they’re not leaving home again until there’s a vaccine. There might never be one. The level of fear of going outdoors which has been caused by this is insane.

(about to complain about people!)

I completely agree. I have a friend who drove to the coast and had a "panic attack " because of how many others were there. Some people have gone quite nuts.

Quite. Those are the ones mainly pissing me off. Driving to beaches, the moaning that others have..driven to beaches and its not fair and hey clearly are not being safe as its too crowded..etc etc.

MadameMarie · 01/06/2020 19:22

Sick of people moaning about the moaners moaning.

bigchris · 01/06/2020 19:23

Agreed ! You do you and I'll do me !

bigchris · 01/06/2020 19:25

People moan whatever though

Endless sahm vs wohm debates

Private vs state schools

School run dress vs wearing your gym gear

It's too hot, its too cold etc etc

This is just a new thing to moan about
