Now illegal to have sex with partner you don't live with?

Sueannnnna · 01/06/2020 11:46

Lots of newspapers/online articles announcing this today.
Being in a private place with partner and having sex can lead to a £100 fine if i've read correctly.

The world is going cuckoo.
But who cares about seeing my boyfriend, at least I can go shopping in Primark and go sit on a packed train (sarcasm)
@MrMeeseekscando How dare women want sex with their partners. Who do they think they are? Neil Furegouson?
Who's saying women can't want sex with their partners? I've not heard one single person say that.

What no one is allowed to do is to mix households - nothing to do with men or women, sex or no sex.

Sueannnnna · 02/06/2020 12:53

@Floatyboat oh my god. I'm not even entertaining you after this post.
Calling women a prude because they don't want sex outdoors? Hahahah you have to be trolling. If a man called me a prude for not wanting sex outdoors then he'd be called misogynistic

@sue

Sorry, it was only because you tried to imply I had the hang up when I clearly am quite neutral and objective on the issue.

justasking111 · 02/06/2020 12:56

Those that think you should have sex with a partner from outside your home suggest you download a sex scene hold the phone next to an open window and watch the neighbours drop like flies in shock. You could try this one.

I think this law is wicked, intrusive and totally unworkable and I am 43 years married.

MrMeeseekscando · 02/06/2020 12:56

Clearly Grin

I won't be addressing you any more @Floatyboat

I really can't take anything you say seriously

Scarlettpixie · 02/06/2020 12:58

But you can see you bf OP. In the garden or outside from 2m apart.

Floatyboat · 02/06/2020 12:59

I like how you don't actually respond to my points but rather try insult me and then complain when I insult you back. The point remains you are self absorbed hypocrites and there is little more to say on the issue so I won't reply to you either.

MrMeeseekscando · 02/06/2020 13:02

@justasking111
Thank you! I may do that! Grin

MrMeeseekscando · 02/06/2020 13:04

@Hearhoovesthinkzebras
I was never going to anyway.
I don't trust my information with government agencies at the best of times.
They are pretty incompetent when it comes to apps and IT issues

Justnot · 02/06/2020 13:12

I think loads of people have already been shagging Non cohabiting partners - seeing a partner who has also been observing lockdown shouldn’t be that risky. We’ve only been out to go to the shops, days go by when we don’t go out at all. If I had a partner and we were all being really careful and only seeing each other I would do it. Trust me Boris isn’t giving up a shag for anybody.....

Cherryghost · 02/06/2020 13:14

I have posted this on another thread but this is how ridiculous the law is.

A couple who live apart can get on a cramped plane together and with loads of other strangers less than 2m apart and can go on holiday abroad and stay in the same hotel room but coming back to England it's now illegal to be together again in the same house

BirdieFriendReturns · 02/06/2020 13:45

I imagine that any unmarried women having sex will now have to be Handmaids.

BirdieFriendReturns · 02/06/2020 13:47

My husband is military and currently a weekend warrior - he comes home Friday to Monday morning and lives in the mess during the week.

I’m sure some on here would prefer that he stayed on the base and didn’t come home for 6 months!

Quite simply you shouldn’t be within 2m of someone outside of your household so how could this be a surprise to you??

LovelyIssues · 02/06/2020 17:38

This has always been the case. It's been illegal for one person to go to another person's house since this all started on 22nd March. Not sure why people are suddenly so shocked.

ToftyAC · 02/06/2020 17:41

I want to know how they’re going to prove it.... are they going to whip out photos? 😂

Caplin · 02/06/2020 17:51

So it might have already been done, this is a huge thread.

So it is illegal to have sex with your partner. But technically prostitutes (male or female) are unable to work from home, so it would be ok to hire a prostitute.

Maybe just pay your partner Hmm

Isaidnomorecrisps · 02/06/2020 17:51

It’s so sad! I haven’t seen my partner since Mar 23, we’ve both been really strict and have barely left our houses (I’m divorced / he’s widowed) - and this? I get it, but it’s just very hard; I’ve had a plumber and a window man come by and that’s fine. He’s so going to have to be a tradesman for a bit.......we are planning on his collecting me tomorrow and driving to his house. Mix of the Cummings effect and we’ve just had enough. Don’t tell anyone !

moreginrequired · 02/06/2020 17:54

Unless his wang is over 2 metres and we all thought he went through life walking in a pogo stick I’d say sadly it would still be breaking lockdown rules

Isaidnomorecrisps · 02/06/2020 18:18

Totally agree - but I’ve had covid and have now tested negative twice, and he’s just had a positive antibody test.
However, I think I would still do it. We have both wfh / not gone out / not mingled / not even supermarkets - I caught it on Mar 22 and think gave to him then.

Isaidnomorecrisps · 02/06/2020 18:20

I think the Govt should be more worried that people like us (I’m RIDICULOUSLY law-abiding) are starting to creak

Oscarsdaddy · 02/06/2020 18:23

£100 for having sex with someone you don’t live with !!!

I can get a blowie for £25 round here from someone I don’t live with 😜

Bizawit · 02/06/2020 18:42

OMG I can’t believe 32% of people have voted YABU Hmm. This country has gone bonkers, I don’t even know where I’m living anymore.

YANBU OP.
