Tastes weird at the back of my throat...

Posting for traffic.

For the past 3-4 days I've had this lingering taste at the back of my mouth not quite reaching my tongue. If I had to describe it the closest I can get to it is like when a filling falls out of your tooth and that weird taste it brings.
It's lingering at the back of my throat whenever I go more than 5 mins without having a drink or eating something, I can't taste it when I'm eating/drinking but it resurfaces not long after.

All my fillings are intact and this is really starting to bother me know.

Has anyone ever experienced anything similar/know what it might be?

Tonsil stones?

Comedyusername · 01/06/2020 11:03

Tonsil stone? The sporners can tell you more. They know all about tonsil stones

INeedACorona · 01/06/2020 11:04

That was my first symptom of pregnancy. Is that possible?

overweightcat · 01/06/2020 11:27

I'm not in any pain or discomfort.... Is the taste alone associated with tonsil stones?

It started when I was on my period so doubt it's a symptom of pregnancy.

Tonsil stones taste and smell awful, they don't hurt though - have a look at the back of your mouth with a torch and see if you can see any white lumps. You can usually dislodge them with a clean cottonbud.

Tonsil stones can hurt when they’re ready to ‘come out’ or are near the surface

overweightcat · 01/06/2020 13:10

There's no pain, no smell either just this taste almost like an aftertaste when you eat something bitter...

I'm going to have a look but I can't feel anything with my tongue.
