Many mumsnetters take part in sponsored threads where it is relevant to us, and take the time and effort to post our tips, ideas, children's work etc, where there is a chance of winning a voucher to spend, and with the current very difficult times would be most welcome. I know it's not the most important issue facing us - nor it is everyones priority, but I feel that would make a difference.

Am I being unreasonable in wanting the lovely Mumsnet staff to go through these threads and announce winners, where the receipt of much needed vouchers to spend during lockdown would be a great pick me up to mumsnetters who are struggling financially.

We all take the time and effort in reading and adding to sponsored threads.

Have you checked the actual winners thread? Mumsnet don't normally post winners on the individual threads, they announce on the central one.

@roff yes I have - there is a 2019 thread where another Mumnetter had the same issue, @cannotmakemymindup. there is not a 2020 thread - I've checked - winners are usually tagged at the end of each thread with the exception of the survey monkey ones we fill in (there have been a lot on our thoughts on Corona and home schooling)

I've 'won' a couple of things over the years and never seen it announced anywhere or been tagged. I've just had separate emails advising how to receive the voucher/item.

I think whatever is going on there needs to be a bit of slack at the moment, MN staff like lots of people are probably working from home/furloughed etc.

Very weird. Even more so because they're still starting new sponsored threads, but not announcing winners from past threads.

I am taking into account the WFH issues, I am getting regular emails to fill in surveys, and seen new threads being started by MN, so there is work being continued, I have bumped a couple of threads - it does not take a long time to respond to a message.

Same as @pastabest, have won a few vouchers throughout the years and never had an announcement

I am on a couple of the threads you mention and was hoping to be a winner, I am new to mumsnet and I can tell you a shopping voucher would make a huge difference to me - having 3 children at home and being on furlough - stressfull is not an understatement - hope you get the results you are wanting OP

Whilst I agree everything is up in the air somewhat with normal working schedules etc,. So some slack is required.

However I agree about announcing winners overall. For instance on the Tonic thread the answers and rating score has obviously been shared with the sponsoring company as a new advert is up saying 'Mumsnet rated'. If they surely have time to pass on those details then surely enough time to state on a thread, like they used to 'and the winner(s) are/is'. I have emailed awhile ago requesting if anybody got picked as a winner(s) however I have not had a response unfortunately. So I'm not sure if that particular staff member is not with Mumsnet anymore?

Makes me not want to bother posting my comments in the hope of winning a voucher to use on my family :(

I won around 2 years ago - and was tagged in the post - and was over the moon to spend £300 at Argos, I contribute to sponsored discussions when I can and offer advice (the chicken pox one) I do try to keep tabs on the ones I have commented on and do hope that a winner is picked - or what's the point - good point about the Tonic thread - I tested that product and left my feedback but did not know a winner had not been chosen - how odd - @MNHQ. - good to have a update

Getting on the property ladder can be an uphill battle for first-time buyers - from the financial challenges to the legal paperwork it throws at home seekers, many rely on help from parents to make it happen. That’s why we want to find out if you’re considering or currently purchasing or have already purchased your first home and how you went about it.

So we are asking you what help you received or are receiving from your parents, if at all, and roughly, when this was? Who started the conversation, you or your parents? Often when we have children, it feels impossible to find the time to do anything that isn’t absolutely crucial…and before you know it, there are things on your to-do-list which have been on there for well over a year or decade. Sorry for the delay on some insight prize draws - we've furloughed a few people and we're working with a skeleton team as a result. This was coincidentally on our to-do list for today, so please bear with. How would you talk to your daughter about her period? Or educate your son on what happens to women during menstruation? Are continence or ‘leak’ issues something you feel like you can’t mention, or are there topics that you’d be too embarrassed to speak about outside of a doctors office? I've not come across any winner announced for testing Carphone Warehouse’s new Energy Saver service (May 2018).

Also still waiting for a winner to be announced for testing the Deliveroo service back in December (2019).
