Dc getting vomitting too frequently- worms? Or maybe migraine?

Dd 4yo has thrown up a lot over the last few months
Nov x 2 separated by weeks
Jan
(Mar had fever too then cough)
May (now)

It seems excessive so 4 times in 7m. And those times are not like she was ill as it is 1-2 vomits. Plus neither us nor her dsis catch it.
This time we havent been out either so unlikely norovirus.
So wondering if it is some underlying reason - maybe worms?
Has anyone had that ongoing sickness and it been worms.?
It is generally overnight say 1am -6am. But last night 9pm stomach ache then sick about 1am.

Food allergy/intolerance?

Your DD would notice if it were worms I should imagine; lots of itching. You can see them if you have a look so maybe rule that out. I wouldn't say 4 times in 7 months is excessive at all, 4 times in one month maybe. Could be intolerances, could be overeating, could be a little anxiety, maybe call your GP for a chat but I'd say that's achingly normal.

Have you heard of stomach migraines before?

Heartburn? My 4 year old kept being sick. Finally linked it to the day before she was helping herself to cucumber out the fridge.

I've not seen vomiting as a symptom of worms, it's usually a very itchy bum at night. They live and reproduce in the lower part of the digestive tract so wouldn't cause stomach problems.

DS has gone through phases of unexplained sickness. After visiting the doctors it turned out he was suffering from constipation. Does she have issues with her bowel movements? Plenty of water helped us.

Why do you think worms? Some children are just sicky unfortunately.

My youngest was forever being ill up till the age of about 5-6 yrs. Every 6 weeks or so there was a one or more symptoms, temp, snotty nose, vomiting, headaches and so on. Some kids are just more prone to bugs than others. Keep a note of it and if it's associated with anything. See the doc anyway. As long as dc is reaching milestones and is otherwise well, I wouldn't worry too much.

My DD had this, but more frequent. It was migraines.

I wouldn't say migraine as fevers aren't a known symptom and I'd think vomiting would only happen once per attack.

Only 1 had fever and other symptoms.
As i say this time cant really have been caught and its out of d&v season.
It could be migraine or constipation.
It definitely seemed to come on in November -she had fill nursery attendance the year before.

Maybe ring your GP then instead of posting on here?

My DD had so many sickness bugs that nobody else had in her class or my 3 other DCs. She would announce she felt ill then a couple of hours later she would vomit (more than once afair). She had to see the consultant about something else so I brought it up and she said migraine. Advised me to get calpol or ibuprofen into her as soon as she complained because otherwise it would be too late (as the stomach stops digesting during a migraine). If it had been worse she would have recommended a medium term daily low dose of ibuprofen but didn't think it was frequent enough. It worked. The key was dosing her asap. She was 3 at the time and grew out of it.

I think 4 times is not at all abnormal. But I think it is if nobody else is getting it. Ime parents very rarely catch children's vomiting bugs but siblings usually/often do, and friends at school etc. My DD was doing it at least once a month if not more.

I agre it's the not giving it to anyone else and the frequency.
Obviously there are bugs other than noro (adenoviruses and hand foot and mouth etc) that siblings etc may be immune to.
Just seems very unlikely when we arent going anywhere at the moment.
And looking for a reason as at this rate her school attendance will be awful next year. As this would be 8 days off.
