Nothing unsaved you're worried about losing?

Hard shut down with the main on-button and then restart after 30 seconds.

The opening message may ask if you want to restart in safe mode. Try normal mode at first and see if that works.

Hold in the power button until it shuts down and the restart it.

I know nothing, but I would switch it off completely, leave it for a bit, then switch it on again. This seems to be the advice when all else fails.

Speak sternly to it and explain that its behaviour is unacceptable......

More seriously, I'd just hold the on/off switch down until it turns off. You may lose some changes you've made to whatever you were working on.

Thank you so much it's really helped

Which? The stern talking to or turning it off? If you turned it off, there's no need to wait. Just turn it straight back on again.
