Cyst on ovary and pregnant

I’ve discovered I have an 8cm cyst on my ovary at a scan and as it’s clear fluid filled they aren’t concerned but that seems massive! Has anyone had a cyst during pregnancy this size? I had a 5cm one with my last pregnancy and it didn’t seem to cause any issues - in fact the doc thinks this could be the same one a bit bigger as it’s 8 years on...

Did yours go away after? Did you have it removed? Were there any issues?

Hey, I had this, mine was 12cm in diameter and they were not concerned it was anything to worry about. I was having a planned c section as baby was breach. My surgeon/gynea thankfully were both available so were planning to remove my cyst whilst I was having my baby. Once in the were worried if it popped and was cancerous then it could infect me more so now I have only one ovary as they removed it along with the cyst. It was tested and thankfully was nothing to worry about. It is a worry but try not to stress x

I had one with my second during the first trimester. I just remember having pain on one side that I had years ago and the doctors couldn’t tell me what caused it. Had an ultrasound and they said it was 6 or 8 cm and that it would likely disappear on its own the further I got along. It did disappear I think in the second trimester. I had a successful vbac at 40+4.

I had a 15cm cyst originating from my left ovary discovered during a scan for my second baby... the doctor actually referred to it as a medium sized cyst because dont forget they will see some huge ones so it seems big to us but probably isn't. I had an MRI and it was a demoid cyst which they removed during my csection. They didn't need to remove my ovary x

I wondered as a couple of you have had c sections - did the removal of the cyst influence them wanting to do a c section or was that just coincidence and the c section would have happened anyway?

I had 2 cysts, discovered in the first trimester, one on the ovary and one on the uterus, I dont know the measurements but was told one was the size of a tomato and the other the size of a grapefruit. I think they would have done a c-section and removed them then. However I was in a lot of pain with them, they were still growing and I was told they would soon start competing with the baby for space so they were removed at 15 weeks. Everything went well and baby was fine although the birth was an emergency c-section due to non progression. Never had a problem in the 25 years and 3 more pregnancies since.
