In being offended my mum asked me what I did all afternoon?

I thought that was something husbands said.

She was disgusted that I had the audacity to take my new mountain bike out to keep fit.

She thought organising a major fundraising campaign for a local charity was "a waste of time".

Sorting out my cash book before I go on holiday - why would I do that? Claiming a refund on dh's operation - obviously a bit of a shirker me...grrr

Basically why hadn't I put her tea on, even though she hadn't asked me to before she went out.

sounds like you've been busy!

I was bloody flat out all day from 5am to 5pm when she came home and I was still doing stuff. I don't think that and hours exercise and a 20 minute luch break constitutes doing nothing!

Does your mum live with you?

twentypence · 21/09/2007 10:40

Only for 3 months of the year.

oh is she over again then?

well I know what you did this morning - finally got my DD to say 'Jelly on a plate, jelly on a plate. Wibble wobble, wibble wobble, jelly on a plate'. She's been saying it over and over again all day, even with the low & high voices

MrsJohnCusack · 21/09/2007 11:03

(well obviously she is - what a bloody stupid question! sorry)

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 11:36

I've managed to have a shower today and have put some washing on the airer.
And I feel quite good about that

Well done to dd for her many jelly voices.
