WTF is going on with them? The models look like they’ve been beaten up ! I’m an old fart granted, but is MN really their target audience??

AIBU to not understand advertising anymore?

You’re not alone OP.
I’m often left wondering what the bloody hell was being advertised in the first place!

Just show me the product and have a jingle to go with it.

I didn’t enable voting - or at least I didn’t mean to. If I had, I’d have asked;
YABU - this ad makes me want to buy from them
YANBU - this ad makes me think I would never buy from them

@1Morewineplease - I’ve heard it said that they do ads just to get people talking about the product / company - but I really am too long in the tooth to be taken in by that. I’m just surprised such ads are on a site like MN rather than somewhere my DC would frequent.

I thought the same with the sofa one. I though the girl had a black eye. I think the zombie look is in

@Doggybiccys
I think you’re right but suspect that MN is just doing what so many companies do , which is to target a young audience.

Doggybiccys · 28/05/2020 22:10

@Legoandloldolls - didn’t see that one! It’s bizarre.

Their models always look awful. Stand all funny, clothes hanging off them like they're the wrong size. It's weird. I think they're trying to be edgy.

I have a biker jacket of theirs that I love to pieces but I can't bear looking at their stuff online.

Doggybiccys · 28/05/2020 22:16

@1Morewineplease - indeed. Does my head in. You go into M&S and they’ve got “young” clothes such as up the arse shorts and mini mini skirts and there are wracks and wracks of them cos guess what, under 20s don’t shop there. I know anyone can wear anything they want but it’s about knowing your audience. Holly Ws stuff flies off the shelves. They do some fab dresses which are sold out in minutes and you can’t buy for love or money - then you have the stock that’s just not touched. Why not get more of the popular stuff?

Doggybiccys · 28/05/2020 22:18

@Sparklfairy - that’s the thing. There could be something like that that I would buy but I’m just not even tempted to look.

@Doggybiccys my (limited) understanding is that they pitch themselves ASA bit off the wall/quirky but imo their marketing really misses the mark. Fyi all saints don't market the zombie look when we're about as close to am actual apocalypse as you can get! Grin

Ignore the typos... It's late (ish!)
