Ectopic with no fallopian tubes?

NC for this, and posting here due to lack of any response in other places-hoping that I'll get some replies where there's more traffic! Don't know if this is an appropriate place to post but really am going crazy!

Ectopic 2010/2014 lost both tubes
1 x successful IVF 2014
1 x unsuccessful ivf 2019

Currently 6 days late for my period. No spotting no bleeds. Periods usually clockwork, prehaps early if anything.

Ive had sickness twice this month, sense of smell has gone wild (i woke up and was sick as I could smell neighbours smoking weed, woke up in night due to my dog having an accident downstairs in kitchen, woke up again another night thinking I could smell dog having accident, convinced I could smell scented toilet roll - and hated it, and the smell of diesel from someone's car through bedroom window made me want to heave)
I've had nausea in the AM, now headaches and lower right hand side abdominal pain.

Sexually active -

BUT i have absolutely NO fallopian tubes. There's no way I can be pregnant? Right?

I'm starting to go out of my mind with worry now. I've googled and googled but everything just references IVF.

Things are really tight money wise so I dont want to waste money buying tests just for AF to show in the next 72 hours... also i don't wish to go through the pain and reminder of that horrible single line... ive had enough confirmation of my infertility over the last god knows how many years.

Please can somebody put my mind at ease. Another ectopic with again, NO FALLOPIAN tubes at all, just isn't possible, is it?

Thanks all x x

It can happen, although it's unlikely. Take a test to put your mind at rest.

Someone1987 · 30/05/2020 12:23

Yeah I'd have definitely tested by now.

My second pregnancy ended in ectopic, I had to have surgery to remove my tube, my doctor told me that whenever I got pregnant again to make sure I got an early scan to make sure the baby was in the right place, on my last three babies I have had a scan at 6 weeks to make sure as after that it can become really dangerous, id test just to put your mind at ease.

dontdisturbmenow · 30/05/2020 12:39

Someone mentioned it could be a corpus luteum cyst. I had one on two occasions. Periods late when regular as a clock, temperature still high after 14 days post ovulation, many pregnancy symptoms, but negative tests.

The first occasion, my periods came after 14ish days, but the second time, I just skipped one month.

I had an ectopic in 2000 and lost a tube. I totally understand not wanting to do a test but I really think it would be safer to check. If you are pregnant, it really would be best to get an early scan to make sure everything ok.

BobGalaxy · 30/05/2020 12:55

If you're this late, you can take a test any time can't you? No need to wait til the AM. Best to know sooner if you are pg given the circumstances

Thanks again everyone.

I have now purchased pregnancy tests and will take one today, and one further in the future if my period doesn't appear... also a call to GP if nothing in a few more days.

I am concerned but still feeling rather daft for getting a test!

Please don't feel daft, the possibility of an ectopic is there and you must look after yourself.

How did it go?
Goingalittlecrazy · 31/05/2020 20:00

Hi guys.
Took a sensitive HPT yesterday afternoon, and happily negative. Still feeling very silly, but the support on this thread and advice has been brilliant.

No period, 9 days today late.. now I've had a negative ive been able to relax much more, I shall give it another 7 days and if no period I shall call my GP and get advice.

Will update accordingly incase anyone in the future needs help as I did, or just incase anyone invested in this thread is curious!

This is first time I've tuned to mumsnet for support and I know I keep repeating myself, but thanks to all. Its really helped.
