7, 10, 14 or 21 night holiday abroad?

For 2 adults and two children under 8, which suits you best?

We usually do 14 nights, but looking at 21 nights for next year to make up for no holiday this year.

Unsure if it will be too much though?

How long is long enough for you?

7 days too short, 14 days too long. I always go for 10. Perfect!

As long as possible. I'm a fan of moving around though, holidays within holidays, so maybe a fortnight's good relax in a villa, then move on to different place for a week all inc.

I like up to 7 days if staying in one place which is rare for us and 10 to 14 nights if going on a twin centre of cruise and stay/stay and cruise holiday. I couldn't imagine leaving my cat for any longer.

We normally go for 14 days as I think 7 is far too short and 10 means I try to cramp too much into it and loosing out on the relaxation. We don't do pool-only holidays, more a mix of days out and pool.

21 in one destination is too much and I think for Europe too musch travelling as you can go easily and fairly cheap more often.

For long-haul I would say 21 is great if you travel but too much for one destination.

Getting 3 weeks holiday approved is a nightmare for me though, it has to be something very unusual like trip of a lifetime or a trip in connection with a big family do. Defi. not something you could get every year and hardly when you have to split Summer holidays with various colleagues.

It depends entirely where you are going. If I go somewhere in Europe (except for to my parents) 4-5 days is perfect. If I'm going to the Middle East or similar distance I would like to go for a week and if it is somewhere like Mauritius, Bali etc then 2 weeks is fine for me. I never like being away for longer than that, regardless of where I am going.

We were supposed to move doing 11 in Majorca this year after spending 7 day's last year it wasn't enough but found 2 weeks sometimes a little too long , but have booked to go further afield next year so gone for 14 nights as loose days with flying etc
