You can tell if a women's had a baby by her stomach

My friends wisdom you can tell a women's had a baby as they have a rounded tummy after. She declared this when I said I was pregnant last time and that she couldn't tell the difference as I always had a rounded tummy ( I'm a tall size 12 normally) Do you thinks it true ? And why are we all walking around looking 5 months pregnant permanently?

I've had some ab separation after two large babies personally.

I had dc when I was just turned 22, and my stomach before having him was very flat, had a 26" waist (am short so not quite as drastic as it sounds). Was lighter the day he was born than the day he was conceived but my stomach has never been less than 28" since.

My bump was all in front and I have some pretty serious abdominal muscle separation and stretch marks, my back is a mess because of it and no amount of sit ups will fix it. I had physio for my back and the physio therapist said there is only so much that can be done and it would need surgery to return to 100% normal

She's talking shit. Apart from an extremely light c section scar, which is barely noticeable, you wouldn't know I've had children. Flat stomach, no overhang, no wrinkly stomach (I've seen a few friends with this), no bulge or stretchmarks. Clearly I got lucky as it's not due to lifestyle but I can't be the only one.

I think it depends on your body type. Nearly 6 months after I had my LO my stomach and weight has returned to it’s previous size but I have gained a little more fat on my thighs and bum - but that’s my usual pattern of fat gain. I haven’t been as active as I am usually.

Regardless of whether you can or not, she's not much of a friend for making a comment like that.

I’d say in a bikini you can guess a good amount of the time, but no way when people are clothed. And even then there are exceptions - I went to Kenya with my cousin who was 35 with a 2 year old and she looked amazing in a bikini, you’d never know she’d had a baby.

I've had two kids and have a very flat stomach. You couldn't tell I'd had a baby clothed, you can see some silvery marks that would give me away a bit! Although I only got those after my second, you wouldn't have been able to tell after my first at all. It's weird even when I pile on a few pounds they never go to my stomach, I have terrible love handles though!

Same! I have IBS and a 7 month old baby but between breastfeeding, marathon training and hauling my heavy-ass DS around all day long I’m currently the slimmest I’ve been in about 5 years!
