Thank you @RowanMumsnet Grin

JudyCoolibar · 27/05/2020 17:24

Just as well I didn't follow DH's suggestion of taking a swig of wine every time Johnson exhorted us to move on. I'd have serious alcohol poisoning by now if I had.

Mummyoflittledragon · 27/05/2020 17:26

I missed the beginning. Watching now. I’m sure it will be be available on catch up. He looks the sam colour as his marble fireplace.

AuntMasha · 27/05/2020 17:27

Did love the women making mincemeat of him. It was like watching a very guilty looking public schoolboy trying to convince his teachers that the dog really did eat his homework.

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 17:32

'Focus on the next steps'

Coward

CuriousaboutSamphire · 27/05/2020 17:34

She still is...

Slingsanderrors · 27/05/2020 17:38

*JudyCoolibar
Me too, although I did have to raid the fridge for wine after 30 minutes.
What a fuckwit BJ is.

Slingsanderrors · 27/05/2020 17:40

I have, however spent the time constructing a “BORIS BULLSHIT BINGO”
sheet........

Thedogscollar · 27/05/2020 17:42

Well there he was in all his messy haired, bumbling and stumbling glory. It's really quite terrifying.
Even Bernard Jenkins was trying hard not to laugh. Bernard never said a truer word it has indeed benefitted us all to see him in action.
Now we know exactly how incompetent he is.

Yet buried in there were some eminently sensible comments... Like the going off to get better answers (bollocks Chair said that as I typed) to the comment about having failed to learn the lessons from SARS (bugger, Rita said that as I typed).

Damn post now doesn't read how it did when I started typing!

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 17:48

Yes he'll get better answers for the Committee - but won't agree to return to the Committee with these answers.

onalongsabbatical · 27/05/2020 17:49

I know it's beyond pointless but I bloody wish Yvette Cooper had been Lab leader instead of Corbyn.
Where would we be now, I wonder?

Sarahbeans · 27/05/2020 17:50

"Yet buried in there were some eminently sensible comments"

Shame none of them came from BJ.

Pavlova31 · 27/05/2020 17:50

I wonder who is sat next to Boris who he keeps glancing at (DC)?

Pavlova31 · 27/05/2020 17:54

Looks like he could be reading notes passed to him Hmm

JudyCoolibar · 27/05/2020 17:57

I wish he'd stop willy-waving about our developing supposedly worldbeating systems. He and Hancock have kept claiming that the world is green with envy of the UK, despite all the evidence to the contrary, particularly our appalling death rate. Whilst I'm sure the rest of the world has enjoyed the laugh he is giving them, it's just embarrassing that our PM keeps repeating this nonsense.

AuntMasha · 27/05/2020 17:58

Someone called him the waffling haystack on Twitter.

AKissAndASmile · 27/05/2020 17:59

Very Trumpian

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 18:01

"Dido" is behaving like she's giving a vote of thanks. And about as much use

RumbaswithPumbaas · 27/05/2020 18:15

Those crappy responses to direct questions by many MPs (especially the women).... the best one for me was Caroline noakes asking about women’s employment (retail sectors/childcare) and Boris basically answered “erm chunter chunter I met a woman once, oh and that other person in that office, yes, erm, actually she’s a woman too, oh and margaret thatcher... Hmm

GuyFawkesDay · 27/05/2020 19:06

Boris and DC remind me more and more of Melchitt and Darling on Blackadder goes Forth.

ilovesooty · 27/05/2020 19:16

@WoollyFoolly

fuckinghell it's on the bbc website, you can watch live or start from the beginning
Brilliant, thanks.
ilovesooty · 27/05/2020 19:19

@Timesdone

This "move on" just sums him up. Every relationship, every difficulty, bit bored, "move on", and don't mention the past again. Children ? He won't even say how many he's got, bored with them , move on, got a new one now.
I wonder if he's got a new puppy yet?
OtterBe4 · 27/05/2020 19:23

Sadly if you go to the BBC and Sky News pages on FB all his fans are defending him and saying how irrelevant Cooper et al are, basically because they've never heard of a particular MP.
The blind ignorance is terrifying.

longwayoff · 30/05/2020 09:32

Wilful ignorance, OtterBe4. Infuriating. Something's coming. Not sure what it is but our sense of dread and despair is spreading and we are stuck with these lying, feckless, grasping loons both here and in US. We are stuffed.
