Are these theories widespread in your circle of acquaintances? How much do you think anti-Semitism is a problem in Britain generally? Why do you think this theory has gained such a foothold?

I might know one person who shared a youtube video that said something like that, but all our mutual friends saw the video and got the shouting at him in first. I didn't get to see it and there was a mutual agreement to move on.

Otherwise, no-one.

Yep, I think that it's very much a "one in five of the conspiracy theorists people we surveyed...".

I don't think I'd have completed that survey, to be honest, because I'd have been muttering about how ridiculous the questions were. So there is probably a sampling bias.

Also bear in mind that 50% of the population have an IQ lower than 100...

I don't know what the average IQ of the bottom 20% is but...you get the picture...

They must be quite thick. Jews have been disproportionately affected. At least that's the case in the UK. I read something the other day about it.

And the fact that anyone gives it any attention is a total shocker too! Why not stick to conventional news channels? At least they have to report something that might be remotely true! However - no we are more intelligent then this and no, I don’t believe most people are anti Semitic. Yes, I believe some people are. As I believe some people dislike Muslims and other people dislike coffee. No idea how many and neither has anyone else!

It's probably less than that in reality but I've come to realise that many otherwise normal looking people are actually idiots who probably shouldn't be allowed out without a carer.

So 20% think the Jews did it. 20% think the Muslims did it, 45% think the Chinese did it and 20% think Bill Gates did it.
That leaves me in a sector of minus five percent of the population.

(Although in the real world 5% of the population will always say yes to anything in these polls and would confidently have asserted that the Peruvians, the Sami or Ruritania were to blame, so they’ve been quadruple counted).

I don't know much about surveys but it seems a bit loaded to have four agree categories and one disagree category.

I don't know. I was a bit alarmed when chatting in the garden with my young neighbours yesterday..the boy is quite uneducated but they seem ok. He asks me if I have heard of Tommy Robinson and how he (the neighbour) hadn't been sure what 'far right ' meant so he had Google it and it was all about 'keeping the Islamists out' and that Tommy Robinson and another man '(Golden?) were 'legends'...
He told him that Hitler had seemed reasonable to many people at that time. .which shut things down ...his gf was just rolling her eyes at him.
But these young people with no education and no jobs are drawn in so easily!!
And as I say..as neighbours they are nice enough!
'It's scary tbh
