I wasn't sure where to post so posted in AIBU, feel free to move if there's a better place for it. My landlord is not replying to mine or OH's texts or calls. About 2 months ago, the light stopped working in DC's bedroom. No problem, thought it was the lightbulb so got a new one and changed it. Still doesn't work. So I figured it must be a problem with the switch/electricals which me and DP have no clue about AT ALL. Landlord just isn't replying at all. I've asked for it to be looked at/fixed, nothing. It's so annoying as this is where we get DC ready after bath time in the evenings, where they play, where they get dressed, where we have to come to when accidents happen. For example DD was sick at night a few weeks ago and I had to clean everything up using just the flashlight on my phone. I don't know what else to do, any help is welcome

@ohwellherewegoagain you are incorrect. S8 and s21 notices can be issued but those issued after the 27th March 2020 currently require a 3 month notice period rather than the usual 2 weeks and for s21, 2 months. All court possession proceedings are currently stayed.

Hi there have you checked the fuse box to see if the switch has tripped for that circuit

Landlord here...whatever you do, do not withhold rent under any circumstances. You also can't use rent to pay for repairs. You will be then dangerously into rent arrears which will not end well.
Pay your rent, as frustrating as it may be and contact Shelter, citizens advice and continue to try and get in touch with your landlord.
