When they tell you their idea and you really don't want to be discouraging but you know it's a way bigger job than they are thinking.

I currently have a masonry truck outside dropping huge squares of breeze blocks into the back garden so he can rip out the decking and build us a raised patio with a retaining wall??? Oh god I'm worried!

What are the rest of them planning?

Mine is currently out in the front garden with a concrete mallet thing bashing up old paving. I haven't asked what the actual plan is at it will just annoy me.

He's also planning to replace our back fence and add a gate. This has massive potential to go tits up.

It's the other way around in our house! I've decided to change all the door handles (none of them match at the moment - was like this when we moved in)...my DH isn't sure I know what I'm doing!

Mine is shit and doing nothing at all, despite being furloughed. I OTOH am working full time and looking after our 20 month old who is off nursery, and have begun painting the hallway and bannisters, painting the garage door to match the front door, decorated a wall with decals (short on money and might knock that wall through in future), completed our application to the local council for work to be done on a large TPO tree in our garden, and got a plasterer to come round and give a quote for some work.

Can you tell I'm pissed off? TBH I thought I was being unreasonable to be annoyed at him but now that I type this out I think he is being lazy.

@feelingsicknow no I wouldn't be impressed with that either!! I'm grumpy because we are both working full time from home but he won't get involved in home schooling at all even though my work is a lot busier than his.

@inwood yes ours also has huge potential to be a very expensive mess. I can see us having to call in landscape gardeners to fix it.
