To find some happiness in 'small pyjamas'?

At a certain times over the past 3 years I've ballooned up to 13st 8 - which makes me obese at 5ft1. Since lockdown I've adhered to a strict diet - exercise plan and for the first time in over 3 years am now under 11st - scales say 10 -something woo-hoo!!
After 3 years of buying size 16-18 pyjamas last night I tried on a pair of pyjamas sized SMALL!!! They are from the Sainsbury's clothing range. They fit!! OK I know I'm still technically fat/overweight -and the pj trousers are elasticated waist - but last night when I was stretching after my home aerobics session I was also starting to feel the muscles and tendons in my legs again which for the past 3 years have been buried under thigh fat!
I feel I need to be happy about small mercies. It's not pay day til Friday so I don't have extra money for 'treats' as such - all my clothes are either UK size 16 or 8/10!! with nowt in between! Fat (OK size 16 doesn not mean everyone that size is fat, but you know what mean) and thin cupboard but no middle ground cupboard!!

Massive well done! Losing weight at anytime is difficult but especially during lockdown when there is little else to do bar stuff your face (or is that just me?) lol.

What a fantastic achievement! You are right to feel proud of yourself. Enjoy your new, slimmer, healthier body, you've earned it👌

StirlingWork · 26/05/2020 11:06

Thanks ThisIsHappening - I've found it easier in lockdown as not working has enabled me to focus on a strict diet/exercise routine!!
Thanks for your encouragement - it's been tough at times!

Well done!

PollyPocketLucyLocket · 26/05/2020 11:26

Well done you! Must feel amazing.

I weighed the same as you, with the same goals. Am currently working on it myself, and look forward to being able to do the same with clothes soon.
I started a bit later then you, however am half a stone down.

Thanks for sharing.

Honeybee85 · 26/05/2020 11:26

Well done OP.

Enjoy your new pyjamas, you worked hard to earn them.

Beautiful3 · 26/05/2020 11:26

Brilliant, well done!

SharonasCorona · 26/05/2020 11:29

YANBU, I'm 11 stone and 5'2" and trying to get down to 9 stone.

When I was a size 10/12, I had a Warehouse top that fit beautifully - it was a size 6! I was so chuffed.

Isawamagpie · 26/05/2020 11:32

Congratulations!
At my recent highest (last few weeks) I was 10s 11, and im 5'3 so I understand the feeling of being huge due to our height.
I'm down to around 10s 5 now and aiming for 9.5, you can. Certainly feel the difference when it starts coming off.
Congratulations to you!

Aw - thanks for all your supportive comments - it really cheers me up in this difficult time!!

PollyPocketLucyLocket - Good luck and keep going with it!! Congrats on your achievement so far - the first half stone is always the hardest!!

Thanks Honeybee85 that's a lovely comment.

I think I actually bought them in 2014 but they feel new as I've hardly ever worn them since!!

SharonasCorona - ah - you're practically exactly at the same stage as me in your weight loss and your ultimate goal is the same.

I've also still got a size 6 jacket which I bought in 2010!!

That's even better OP. You managed to achieve something you wished you had achieved 6 years ago.

That's a real accomplishment.

StirlingWork · 26/05/2020 12:54

Isawamagpie - aw good luck - you're doing well - can't wait to be under 10 and a half stone - yes - the 'different' feeling is amazing!!!

Great reading this. I have put some weight on during lockdown and you have given me the extra push I needed to up the ante with my exercise. Well done!

StirlingWork · 26/05/2020 14:15

Sceptre86 - oh that's good! - keep going it'll be worth it in the end although it feels hard sometimes!

Well done. I quite admire you. Loosing weight isn’t easy but you did it anyway. Star

hadtojoin · 26/05/2020 14:59

Well done !! You should be really proud of yourself, it's not easy to loose weight and stick to an exercise program.
I lost 2 stone 3 years ago and was so pleased to be able to find nice things to wear instead of picking through the very small selection of Plus sized clothes for anything that actually fitted. I had health issues so I'm back up to plus sizes again but you have inspired me to try again.

Knocksomesense · 26/05/2020 15:01

This is brilliant!! Well done!!! I treated myself to some short pyjamas and am very excited and I only lost half a stone

PorridgeStoat · 26/05/2020 15:26

Well done OP!

FrogFairy · 26/05/2020 15:42

Well done, you must feel fantastic.

I am a similar height and starting weight, please would you be willing to share your diet plan?
