I've only just found out these even exist, I've suffered with extremely heavy periods for a long time. These could change my life truly! If they are any good? Any recommendations?

Modibodi definitely the best we’ve found. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

terrelontane · 26/05/2020 01:26

Thinx work for me - either as a backup for heavy days or as an alternative to liners either end of the period. They're really comfortable.

QuestionableMouse · 26/05/2020 01:28

I'd love to try them but they don't seem to come in larger sizes (currently a size 24)

Whatsmyname26 · 26/05/2020 01:31

I have tulip and cheeky wipes ones and both are fine. I really like the cheeky wipes but could do with a size larger than their largest really.

rabbitheadlights · 26/05/2020 01:52

I hadn't considered that they might not do my size ... How big do they go?

I've been looking on Amazon and all the ones I can find say they need to be worn with pads, which sort of defeats the object of what I was looking for.

lymphopenia · 26/05/2020 02:36

I have a set from cheeky wipes and I've never bled through them- they're really good in that sense. I don't wear towels with them or anything else for extra protection. They feel a bit crinkly though and really I think modibodi is probably worth the extra money. I was just a student at the time so couldn't but overall they've saved me a fortune in tampons!

GingerBeverage · 26/05/2020 04:22

I have Flux but be careful as their sizing between styles varies hugely.

myself2020 · 26/05/2020 05:32

Modibody are amazing!

myself2020 · 26/05/2020 05:33

There are also some others making them - have a look cor Noobynoo on facebook

Puds11 · 26/05/2020 05:35

Do you change them during the day? If so, where do you then put them if you’re at work?

FruChoc · 26/05/2020 06:31

Loveluna or modibodi are very good. I don't use on own often tho - use as a backup to cup on heavier days or on end/light day of period.
No complaints with either brand

ScarfLadysBag · 26/05/2020 06:32

I like the Cheeky Wipes ones

Ohtherewearethen · 26/05/2020 06:53

I am following this with interest. I too noticed that manufacturers all seem to recommend using with pads or tampons aswell so wondered if there was really any point to them. Please could someone who knows answer? Do they last all day? Can they go in the washing machine? Can they just be worn on their own? Are they comfy? Sorry for hijacking slightly, OP, and thank you

bowchicawowwow · 26/05/2020 07:19

My DD has the cheaper period pants from Amazon. They work well as a backup against leaks. You wouldn't wear them on their own.

YouJustDoYou · 26/05/2020 07:20

I wish I could afford these 😥

farfar · 26/05/2020 07:59

I've got loads of the INNERSY period pants from Amazon, good value and really good quality.

I use them with a menstrual cup days 1-2/3 and then on their own days 3-5 of my period.

Whatsthis1515 · 26/05/2020 08:03

Modibodi are fantastic.
My daughter started her periods when she was just 10 years old and has worn then ever since (now 13). She has quite heavy periods and never leaks through them and they've allowed her just to be a normal kid. She wears the same pair all day, never any need to change them. They are AMAZING!
