Donald Trump, the Most Unmanly President
Why don’t the president’s supporters hold him to their own standard of masculinity?

I'm very amused by the Twitter users who tweet something very complientary about Trump, wait until he vainly retweets it, then change their name..

If The Donald is unhappy with Twitter, maybe he should set up a similar competing platform.
Maybe call it Twatter?

Why in hell does he always end his crap on Twitter with "Thank you!"? Is he hearing imaginary applause from an imaginary audience?

In other news, a CNN news team was arrested an released overnight In Minneapolis.

This is a fairly comprehensive debunking of Trump's tantrum about twitter:

www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/05/trump-social-media-scarborough/612193/

"Legal experts are dubious that Trump can do much to bring the internet companies to heel without legislative action, which is unlikely.

"“If I’m reading this correctly, the EO claims tech platforms are doing something they’re not, in violation of an incorrect interpretation of law, and tasks agencies it can’t task to look into the things that aren’t being done that wouldn’t be wrong,” the legal scholar Tiffany C. Li tweeted."

I do hope Twitter have now reached their sticking point.

God, I would LOVE to see Twitter delete his account.

Don't think it'll happen though. At least not until November.

Thanks for that Atlantic link, Asking.

It's the good explanation/debunking I was looking for. I knew the EO was wrong legally speaking, but I couldn't completely explain just why to myself.

'When the looting starts, the shooting starts' had a warning against it on his Twitter a/c

He's now just retweeted it on The White House twitter a/c Shock

I've reported it

God, I didn't realise he had full control of The White House account as well. I assumed McNinny or similar ran it

AcrossthePond55 · 29/05/2020 15:42

Normally the WH account IS run by 'staff' who has a pretty good handle on what the POTUS would like/approve. They'll either get a idea from the POTUS and write a tweet with POTUS final approval. The WH twitter is usually pretty 'generic' (holiday/special event proclamations, deaths of notables, sympathies in national crises, etc) and never used for purely political or personal reasons.

Dare we hope that Twitter will notice and put the warning on the White House account as well? In their capacity as concerned citizens, perhaps....

Report
BruceAndNosh · 29/05/2020 16:21

I suspect Trump has retweeted via WH, knowing it will get a warning so that he can rage that Twiiter is censoring the Presidency as well as censoring the president personally

Something weird is/was going on with TIO and TIW, macaroni. Mine seem to be ok. For now.

The officer who killed Mr Floyd has been 'taken into custody'. The word 'arrest' has not been used. I think he's probably in protective custody or it's 'custody theatre' to supposedly satisfy the public. I'm not going to be satisfied until he is formally arrested and charged.

@TheNorthWestPawsage I read that on BBC website too. I don't understand how you can be charged with murder and manslaughter, I thought the two were mutually exclusive

What was that? He's going on about Hong Kong but no mention about the death of another black man at the hands of police and the subsequent rioting.

Now, I'm not saying that what's happening in Hong Kong is not important but it just seems so misplaced to speak about that today. More distraction I guess.

He says Hong Kong weirdly though!!!
And no questions because he knows that he can"t say anything helpful Confused
