The only SEND exemptions I saw were in relation to more frequent exercise (when it was limited to once a day) and being able to travel further afield for exercise for SEND people.

Exactly. And in our area I remember this being questioned and having to wait for official confirmation that it was ok due to children with SEND riccochetting off the walls, attacking other family members and stimming like mad with the stress of being cooped up.

Also agree my first thought was certainly not all children with SEND can change their routine to nip off to Durham at the drop of a hat, nor handle 4 plus hours in the car, never mind when the driver's ill. There really was no issue for Cummings that some phonecalls and his wallet couldn't have sorted if he'd wanted to, I pointed out to my MP just how many families in such circumstances just got on with it despite how hard.
