A quick Google brings up trip advisor, one of the reviews states there are no facilities there what so ever.

dontgobaconmyheart · 25/05/2020 10:27

Not that I recall. Highly doubt the coop has a toilet. No idea why you'd actively want to go somewhere and use a public toilet in these times though or use a popular beach likely to be rammed on a hot day anyway. Covid 19 hasn't disappeared, but that aside it will be a nightmare to park and get too if everyone else decides the same. Access is fairly annoying at the best of times.

Try the Sainsbrys for a loo

SoloMummy · 25/05/2020 11:42

Nope.

BiggerBoat1 · 25/05/2020 11:43

There shouldn't be any toilets open anywhere.

Yugi · 25/05/2020 11:47

There are toilet blocks on the beach but I don't know if they are open at the moment

GrumpyHoonMain · 25/05/2020 13:32

All supermarkets have their toilets open. Don’t be ridiculous

Yugi · 25/05/2020 15:11

Who is being ridiculous? No-one has mentioned supermarket toilets being shut??

There are no supermarkets at Sandwich Bay though, or any other type of shop. You would have to get in the car and drive to Sandwich to find a supermarket and then possibly pay the toll to get back to the bay.

LizzieVereker · 25/05/2020 15:14

No there aren’t, and they wouldn’t be open anyway if there were any.

Yugi · 25/05/2020 15:16

And the toilets are shut in my local supermarket, less than 20 miles from Sandwich Bay

ToffeeYoghurt · 25/05/2020 15:20

There shouldn't be any toilets open anywhere.
Where do key workers commuting to work go? Or people travelling to provide essential care to a vulnerable family member or friend? People travelling in emergencies? And the international travellers heading from the airports?
Public toilets should be open.

Suzie6789 · 25/05/2020 15:40

Public toilets should be open, it’s then up to the risk an individual wants to take if they chose to use them or not.
No wonder people are peeing in bushes, it’s completely uncivilised to keep loos closed.

Not all supermarkets have public toilets. None of ours do.

StartingGrid · 25/05/2020 15:43

YABU to consider even going, seeing as you're clearly not local enough to know the answer to this. HTH

ToffeeYoghurt · 25/05/2020 15:56

How do you know they're not a local returning after a couple of years abroad?

The government is allowing international and regional travel within England. So some people will travel. Including those dastardly Non Locals.

herecomesgeralt · 25/05/2020 16:01

@ToffeeYoghurt the toilets in services/petrol stations? Do people really pull up to public loos at beauty spots when doing any of the things you've described Confused

ToffeeYoghurt · 25/05/2020 16:32

Where else would they be if they're travelling to provide essential care to a family member or friend. Who lives near the beach. Confused
You can't always stay on a motorway your whole journey.
