Sorry to start a new thread as it's only a question that I can't find an answer to. Did DC bring the child back home with him to London or has he left the child with the grandparents in Co Durham?

I wondered why he was loading a child's bike into the car to go to Downing Street yesterday and if it was some sort of cover.

Someone suggested wife and child have been in Durham all along, which would be fine, provided DC stayed in London....

Unless it was old footage, why did he need to take LO's bike to a 5/6hr stint at DS?

Looked like his wife was in the passenger seat of the car yesterday to me and he loaded his child’s bike and scooter into the back too.

Ah OK, that would make sense, although news reports said the car was at Downing Street all day, so how did they get home?

He's having a press conference this afternoon to explain himself. I will bring myself to watch it but it will just be more excuses as to why he's allowed to roam around the country with a wife who had potential COVID19 symptoms while the majority of the rest of us have adhered to his rules. Ridiculous.

Why are you asking about his child? Are you worried about his welfare? Cummings is the guilty party here, there’s no need to speculate about his child.

It's important as it helps to figure out what Cummings was doing/ where he was going and when. I'm sure the OP isn't just unnecessarily taking an interest in a 4yo child for no reason. I have a feeling Cummings is using his child as a get out of jail free card. Hopefully the public will see through it.

Led by Donkeys, who were behind the screen stunt, said they knew no one was at home. Presumably they knew as everyone was seen getting in the car earlier.

Probably in the house, frightened due to the paps shouting outside. Or has had to move to another location because of it.

Cummings and his wife have chosen to hinge their entire defence on this unfortunate child (whom this scandal may follow for the rest of his life).

Thing is it it is utterly bogus.
There was no way the child was ever at risk of not being looked after. They did not need to go to Durham for any child welfare reasons and anyone who pays any attention to that argument is a fool.

If Cummings and his wife ever became so ill they could not support the child, help would have been quickly provided as required (as it would for the PM or any other cabinet member). He is supposedly a key government advisor. Westminster would arrange an emergency nanny or whatever. There are systems in place.

I don't think you really claim privacy for a child whose mother publishes articles about him or whose father uses him as defense to save his own neck (if that's what he does).

Oh FFS. I've asked a question which I feel is relevant to the situation because if he's brought the child back to London then there was absolutely no need for him to make the journey to Durham in the first place. It never ceases to amaze me how people can read into an innocent question and twist it. "'Leave the child out of it" Really?? The whole point of his trip to Durham was because of his child.

Am finding this interview more excrutiating than the Prince Andrew interview and I still don't know where the child is. What a joke.

Of course he isn’t going to say where his child is after the abuse he is getting and what is going on outside their home.
The child came back with them as he stated, where the child is now is no ones business as long as he is protected from the circus that is happening that’s the main thing.
