Boo for Boris

Haplap · 25/05/2020 08:53

There are calls on social media to boo for Boris on tomorrow at 8pm.

AIBU to think this will be a bigger show of support for NHS and essential workers than the clapping?

What utter nonsense.

SecondStarFromTheRight · 25/05/2020 10:09

There are hundreds of comments about how the clapping was a bit silly and wouldn't it be better to do something meaningful like a pay rise. Why would you engage in booing when you can actually vote against these people?

WineHooray · 25/05/2020 10:11

Awww shame no-one is keen! I was quite looking forward to a boo-along!! Would be too embarrassed to be the only one on the street doing though! So I'll pass! ;)

redcarbluecar · 25/05/2020 10:28

@WineHooray, the idea of solitary booing on your street is quite amusing though. You could leave it till a bit later in the evening for the 'howling at the moon' effect. Anything goes in lockdown Smile

Haplap · 25/05/2020 11:26

Already written to my MP. I'm not sure it's boo OR write though. If you're struggling to choose, write to your MP.

I'm not a Tory voter or a Boris fan, but I wouldn't support this idea.

amijustparanoidorjuststoned · 25/05/2020 11:48

I think it's a good idea actually. Childish and a bit cringey, perhaps. But funny and satisfying all the same Grin

bellinisurge · 25/05/2020 11:56

A humiliating reverse Corbyn election result would be the best way to punish him.

Inoneminute · 25/05/2020 11:59

Do you think Boris will make it to the next election bellinisurge? I think it will be the party the outs him before the electorate get the opportunity.

Nanny0gg · 25/05/2020 12:02

Mobs baying!

Yep, that'll sort out the mess.

And do remember, that not everyone disagrees with Boris...

CaptainButtock · 25/05/2020 12:10

How about everyone who voted Tory goes out at 8pm and shouts 'sorry'?

Haplap · 25/05/2020 12:12

Yes CaptainButtock, that's a great idea!

OP posts:
AudacityOfHope · 25/05/2020 12:43

I agree with you there @Inoneminute - with a majority of 80 and years until the next election, what's to stop them ousting him, as he's clearly a danger to the party, and install someone else?1 I mean, why WOULDN'T they, really? Cummings will go this week I hope, Johnson will take longer but his card is well and truly marked now.

BlackberryCane · 25/05/2020 13:20

I don't think he's going to make it to 2024. The party will need scapegoats soon enough, and he doesn't seem like the job is what he thought it would be. He's also terrified of Keir Starmer, for obvious reasons. I could see a resignation on the grounds of health at an appropriate juncture, to go back to what he actually likes doing.

CelestialSpanking · 25/05/2020 13:23

He’s an absolute cunt stump. However I won’t be booing him. The focus should be on making sure him and DC don’t get away with their shitty behaviour.

AudacityOfHope · 25/05/2020 18:35

Cunt stump? Ew that gave me the shivers Grin
