Ok, so I can bake although most of the time I can't be bothered/have the time/prefer shop bought cakes.
My husband has a thing for lemon cake and we often buy the loaf cake thing from supermarket.
On now more than one occasion people are making him cakes!
First it was a customer, now it's a mans wife from work.
So what i am feeling is a bit of threat from these woman that clearly know my husbands favourite cake but what I need to know is what kind of whining is he doing for them to be making them for him!
What id like to know is would you be miffed or would you sit back and enjoy the cafe from another females hands that's make it for your Husband.
He's reassured me after my whinge that it's all innocent, which I believe. Smile

I would certainly enjoy it. I don't care who made the cake. As long as it didn't have to be me or that woman wants to sleep with him.

Cake!

HorsesDoovers · 24/05/2020 19:08

Erm I think male hands can bake cakes too OPHmm

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 24/05/2020 19:09

Yeah, but males are not baking them for her DH, are they...

ShebaShimmyShake · 24/05/2020 19:10

I'd eat the cake, be glad I didn't have to bake it or wash up and think nothing more of it.

I know you say this is lighthearted but I'm afraid I don't get the joke.

timeforteea · 24/05/2020 19:11

The lighthearted bit I suppose so people are aware I'm not losing sleep over it, just how they would feel.... and yes males can bake....

Ah. It is light-hearted. I got it.

Cake!

BeeFarseer · 24/05/2020 19:16

Free cake. What's not to like?

timeforteea · 24/05/2020 19:17

To be fair, the man from works wife makes a pretty decent cake!

A colleague of my husband's makes vegan mince pies from scratch to her own secret recipe for him every year which he foodgasms over excessively. It’s a running joke how it’s only an extra batch of them between us and divorce. To be fair, they literally melt in the mouth.

JuniorMumto1 · 24/05/2020 19:19

I love baking and do so quite a lot but if someone offered DP a free cake to bring home I would be chowing down on that bad boy and dropping hints about the next cake

timeforteea · 24/05/2020 19:20

@JuniorMumto1 Haha!

Ltb, go get her instead

Thisismytimetoshine · 24/05/2020 19:24

I wouldn't exactly say no to cake, whatever the source, but I'd think it was a bit odd to bake a cake for a work colleague of my dh.
Was it a thank you, or just a random gift?

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 24/05/2020 19:26

I'd think it was a bit odd to bake a cake for a work colleague of my dh.

I am guilty of similar. I make certain nibble thing and everyone seems to like it. And my DH came home and told me how his colleague keeps sometimes mentioning them... I got the hint. He got a small box of them😂
Now I think his GF must have been freaked out😂

timeforteea · 24/05/2020 19:31

It was random, but it could have been a thank you I suppose... I just don't know what for Grin

It was a tasty thank you. Don't dig into it😂
