When I am beautiful and interesting and attractive and fun and in normalf times (and 30 years ago in my case) to be in a pub or bar and meeting new people and maybe a bit of flirting

but actually tonight I'm at home with DH and DS's who are all more interested in their phones and I can't go out anyway. Sad

YABU. There is no “lovely stage of pissed”.

I'm close to joining you. I just need to pour out another glass of wine.

Oh there is a lovely stage of pissed, where you're full of fun and energy and life feels so less complicated. I fondly remember that stage strutting about like a model in my 1950 style swing dress, red high heels and thinking I was the dogs bollocks. Now a glass of wine has me yawning and wanting a tea. How times change.

Oh mmmmm I remember that stage. 30 years ago for me as well. I was amazing.

Yeah, see, I don’t need alcohol to feel that way Grin

And while you might feel lovely in that stage, everyone else around you is thinking the opposite.
