Tell her that only witches can have one and she can't go to Hogwart's to train until she is 11. Then cross that bridge when she gets to 11 😍

I think you can get ones that light up or sprout flowers from the tip.

mamatobe20 · 23/05/2020 09:15

Tell him to put it on his list for Santa. He will forget by then!

eatthepineapple · 23/05/2020 09:16

No good suggestions and I know this isn't helpful but it is a very cute thing to ask for! I can imagine wanting the same as a child.

Could you say something like you can't get them because they have to come from a magical place or be passed down from someone who is magical? Then he will not think that it is you who can get it for him!

Kab30 · 23/05/2020 09:18

He thinks they come from amazon..lol..keeps saying order it off your phone x

Like lots of things, tell him the magic is in what you do with itGrin

My DS was using his magic wand yesterday, to try and magic away coronavirus. Let’s hope it works!

Oh, this is a very different thread to what I was expecting

rosegoldwatcher · 23/05/2020 09:27

Totally sympathise with your son. After seeing Disney's Peter Pan as a young one in the 60s I told everyone that I was going to be a fairy when I grew up.

Chimchar · 23/05/2020 09:31

Aldi have a Harry Potter special on this weekend, and there is a wand that you use with a phone app to do things...it was £12.99

No idea if it's any good or not!

WinWinnieTheWay · 23/05/2020 09:32

Get him a wand and explain that the magic must come from within him.

toinfinityandlockdown · 23/05/2020 09:44

@RedPanda2 me too!

DawnFawn · 23/05/2020 09:54

It's illegal for witches to do magic until they pass their OWLs anyway? Ask her if she wants to end up in Azkaban?

IndigoSkye · 23/05/2020 09:58

This reminded me of when my dd was small and bought a little jar of fairy dust on holiday, she was convinced it was going to make her fly and she sobbed and sobbed when it didn't! We did try and tell her but she was convinced! Was so sad!!

Modestandatinybitsexy · 23/05/2020 11:39

You can get a wand that changes channels on the tv?

twostripycats · 23/05/2020 11:41

Ha was absolutely expecting this to be about vibrators.
