To be bummed to be "Karen"?

Name changed because this could be outing. I'm in my late 20s and my name is Karen. I feel sad that my name has now become a huge meme. Amongst a sea of Katies in my year at school, I was kind of glad to have a unique name. Now, I feel mostly embarrassed due to the sea of Internet memes. There is an 'anti-Karen' group on Facebook with 127k likes! What do you all think of the name and do you immediately now associate it with the meme? I know there is nothing I can do but suck it up, but I wonder if there are any other Karens feeling the same out there? 🤔

Because she was being a Karen.

No, she was being a cunt.

I'm 41 and Karen was by far the most popular girls name at my primary and senior schools. Perhaps the name stuck around longer in deepest darkest Essex.

I have a friend called Karen and she is lovely. She also realises that the Karen meme is just a shorthand for a type of obnoxious behaviour displayed by middle aged white women (mostly in America).

I've only recently found out about the Karen and Becky nemes.
I'm actually a Karen Rebecca - so I'm included in both!

When I first heard the term I thought of the people called Karen whom I have known, none for at least ten years, but there were six I could recall.

All of whom were lovely people and I remember being sad for one when a long term relationship of hers ended.
