Toddler night nappies

I was wondering if any of the mums on here know of any non leaking toddler night nappies for my 2 year old? She drinks quite a lot of water and even though I try and limit it before bed, her nappy leaks nearly every night and she’ll also wake up for more drink in the middle of the night, if say I’ve given her a half bottle to bed.
It just causes her a lot of distress at night as sometimes her jammies will be soaked through :/
I am currently using huggies pull ups but the issue is the 1.5y - 2.5y is too tight and the 2y- 4y is a bit too loose.
I also tried Aldi and Lidl nappies and they’re no good for night time either.
I’d appreciate any help :)))

try a reusable nappy like this with a booster pad (you will be able to find a pad on the same website). they tend to hold more. Does she need changing when she wakes up for another drink?

We've mostly used boots nappies. Pull ups don't have the same capacity so they always seem to leak. Very rarely have leaks overnight.

ah, ok. I would buy a couple then, you can get different thickness of booster pads also

We use cloth nappies overnight too. Something like Little Lamb size 3 nappy and wrap would be good, although if she’s petite size 2 might be fine. The size 2s frequently come up cheap second hand if you’re looking for some to try out, although I appreciate some people are funny about buying second hand cloth nappies so you may prefer new. You can add an extra booster or two too of needed. They generally last my 4yr old through the night.

We use pampers nappies as they go up to a size 8. I’ve always found pull ups leak.

I find pull ups useless. My favourite are Tesco nappies but not the pull ups, they are one of the cheaper and don’t leak. my 2 year old wears 6+ and they never leak. He has loads of water and 7oz milk before bed too.

Have a lb who always weed like a racehorse. Have you tried size 7 pampers? We used to have to put a reusable bamboo pad on them as well. Pull ups and PJ pants never worked with him. No answer but we night potty trained him as he was wetting his bed with them on.

Do you change her just before you go to bed? We found that helped. Also, nappies with a have extra absorbency (e.g. 4). We used Tesco ones, but they still leaked fairly often.

We went through a stage is using 2 nappies at night - normal nappy on first and bigger pull up over the top. A bit bulky but kept DS dry!

Best nappies by far for toddlers are these ones that only Tesco seems to sell. My toddler is dry all night and he’s still up and drinks throughout the night.

I think rascal is the tesco own brand.
I use nappies at night size 8 pampers. Pull-ups are fine for naps but they just don't last the night especially as he can pull them aside to play with his willy which is his favourite pastime at the moment.

If you are considering cloth, don’t use a bambino mio at night! They are microfibre so likely to get compression leaks, even with a booster. You’d need a two part system, ideally hemp or bamboo, with a PUL or wool cover. Little lambs would be a good place to start. You can add boosters for additional absorbency if needed.

I’ve just discovered Amazon’s own brand (Mama Bear) pull ups for my 2 year old. I’ve been using them throughout the day and overnight and no leaks! I had tried every brand with my youngest and my eldest when he was in nappies and hated pull-outs for the leaks, but I’m amazed by these!

Pampers pull ups for our almost 3 year old. Shes in size 5s. Cost a bloody fortune but do seem to contain the flood x

I’ve found pull ups a nightmare. Definitely not overnight capacity. Aldi’s 6+ are good for a heavy drinker overnight.

Not sure if this is a silly suggestion and you're already doing it but I find that if my daughter doesn't wear a vest with the poppers that go underneath she leaks. When she wears a vest she doesn't, it seems to keep the nappy in place.

Pampers pull ups

My 3yo DS is in size 5 pampers pull ups, i used to buy Asda but they constantly leaked. The pampers are great for us and we also limit drinks before bed.

Pull-ups leak ao often, they don't stay in place and are less absorbent than nappies. So use the classic ones and be sure to place the sticky tabs right to get close fitting around the thighs and waist (that you cannot do with pull-ups).
If it's not enough add a booster pad inside the nappy (these are pads without waterproof layer, so classic pads are no good), like these or similar ones:

Pull-ups are designed for potty training and are supposed to allow them to feel when they’ve wet. They’re not really suitable for overnight unless you’ve got a child that’s dry most of the time and you’re using them just in case. My 2YO DD is dry during the day but still sets overnight and pull ups gave her a rash. Go back to nappies. We use the amazon mama bear or pampers in a size 6.

I use Tesco pull ups for my dd 3.5 size 5 + she has been dry last few mornings 😀 but they rarely leaked when she wet regularly in the night
