What's the easiest way for me to learn about making a family movie?

I'm rubbish at technology but there is so much easy stuff out there I wondered if there was something that anyone could recommend?

What do you mean by ‘family movie’? If you just want some nice video clips of your family, the video function on any smartphone is good enough. If you want a Hollywood-standard movie with editing, a soundtrack and special effects, hire a director. If you want something in between, there are lots of different (and mostly free) editing tools or programmes. There’s probably even one on your phone.
