To come off social media to avoid being upset by selfish people.

By selfish people I mean those who have become too relaxed and having parties, get togethers doing live videos and photos.

I’m not the type to make a comment on these posts as I don’t like to argue with people.

I don’t think I’m in a good place. I’ve just lost a family member, not due to covid but it still makes things hard at this time not being able to grieve in the usual way not being surrounded by family!

Also, my aunt (by marriage) has just lost he roster to covid. It’s very real and I think that some people seem to have relaxed too much and don’t care because it’s not directly affected them. Thankfully the majority are sticking to the rules.

Aibu to just come off social media so I’m oblivious to it?? I like catching up with family and friends and seeing their photos of their families but I’m getting really bloody annoyed by people being selfish.

I live in the middle of nowhere so don’t see it in person!

Give it a try. You can always go back if you miss it.

you can unfriend people, also you can hide them, so why not try that instead if there are people you do want to keep in contact with
