Oshkosh

Is it a thing nowadays?
When my sons were small, 32 and 34 now, the only places you could get nice bright clothing for boys was Gap, Benetton or Oshkosh. Other than that it was navy, brown or beige, it's what got me into dressmaking, outfits for the boys.
I loved oshkosh especially.
I know nowadays its probably organic neutral, but do they still do well over here in the UK, ?
I was browsing and their site came up and brought back memories.

Grew up in the states with Oshkosh as kids and adults. I looked just a few weeks ago and was so upset to see they had become children’s clothes only. Nothing like their dungarees. On farmers and kids. Grin

Think I have only seen one oshkosh bgosh shop, not sure f I have went in one. It,s very middle class.

This is great, so many memories and 2 other makes I'd forgotten Gymboree and Clothkits, who do sewing kits now.
I especially loved the stripey dungarees, my dad being quite shocked seeing my son in pink and blue striped ones, lol.

Had some Oshkosh for ds but he’s 19 now and haven’t seen anything since then for dd9 anyway , apart from in the states

Does anyone remember a kids clothes shop in the U.K. called Children’s World I think it was ? Was massive and they did loads of bright stuff .
My mum used to go mad in there and I’d look like a clown for the next few months

Yes, I used to love them for my boys in the 90s.

You realise that brief thread title is click bait for every aviation nut/flight radar fan on this forum
They'll both all be disappointed won't they.

My sons (now 16 and 15) both had lots of Oshkosh (b'gosh - vestback! - sorry, a family chant!) bought by my mum, who dressed my little brother (now 35) in it.

I used to like the Gymboree in Cambridge too. Could only afford sale items though.

Gymboree and OshKosh still have stores in the Middle East, very cute but no more expensive than say Baby Gap! I loved them!

Used to sell it in Boots about 15 years ago. DD looked so cute in their clothes.

I think Children's World was a collaboration between Boots, Mothercare and Startrite.

We had one near us, and it was fantastic. One a bit further away had a hair salon for toddlers. DS1's first shoes came from Children's World - I remember because my parents were there and they paid for them - £42 in 1993! Thankfully they were early eshoes for five children then charity.

I bought a pair of oshkosh dungarees for my son last week!
