Finally started growing veg, with varying success!

Saved money. Lie in every day. My skin has cleared up through not wearing make up at all since lockdown started. Been able to paint the house (yawn!) Seeing more of DH. Eating less processed food which has helped me to lose 16lbs.

I've finally put plants in the beds at the front of the house. I've got lots of exercise with the dog and the kids. Loads of snagging jobs around the house have been done. We've been able to top up savings after a difficult few months previously.

I did a zoom dance session led by the singer of one of my favourite bands. It was fabulous and something that would never have come about normally.

To realise my marriage is great and i love my life

MaMaLa321 · 19/05/2020 09:32

I've stopped biting my nails. I know that it doesn't sound like a big deal, but it really is.
Cycling most days. I love it.
Stripping life down to the essentials and no decisions required.

Enjoying extra time with the children. My children getting to know each other better and becoming closer. Large age gaps mean they don't usually spend much time with each other.

Hugely grateful that we are spending less as DH is not working, and with not going anywhere we can just afford to live on my wage

The time that we have for silly little projects we never got around to doing before.

Campervan69 · 19/05/2020 10:30

We have discovered some gorgeous walks round our local area. Little streams I didn't know existed.

We are all completely de-stressed. My night terrors (triggered by stress) have disappeared.

Macncheeseballs · 19/05/2020 10:46

Less cars, more cyclists, and lovely clean air

Saving commute costs and time for dp. Realising that with retirement for us only 2 years away, that we can live in each other's pockets without murdering each other. Living under a flight path and not having constant noise. People being pleasant and looking out for each other.

cottonwoolbrain · 19/05/2020 11:05

No worms. DD and DS have somehow managed to avoid bits all their lives but worms seem to infest is constantly.. Until now.. not one in sight .. thinking about it that happens during long summer holidays too.

More sleep. No school run means extra time in bed.. not so far to the kitchen table.

kirinm · 19/05/2020 11:07

Saved money by not having to travel. DP was out of work for 8 weeks though so wasn't able to save as much money as we could have.

My DD has developed so much. Her language has improved so much and you can tell she has really benefited from having more 1 on 1 time with me and DP.

Settle59 · 19/05/2020 11:19

saving money

a lot of previous pressures taken off which has made me more able to embark on what I've really wanted to do for the past 3 years viz. a strict diet/exercise program

Love reading this thread. I’ve had a lot of time to crack on with things I’ve always wanted to do- reading about subjects that interest me, creating things, spending more time on health and exercise.

I’m not sure what the other seller did but my sales have also increased by 3-400%, I sell products online (gifts, accessories etc.), nothing I would have thought would ‘boom’ but the extra online shopping has helped me pay off half of my credit card debt.

I wonder what permanent changes people will be making after lockdown ends.
