To ask about unexplained nausea for days

Has anyone else been experiencing nausea and feeling ill? I had diarrhoea and terrible nausea about a week ago and also felt really unwell. Have been feeling sick on and off, especially in the evenings since then.
My husband today has had exactly the same symptoms. None of our children are showing any signs of illness.
If it wasnt for Coronavirus, I wouldn't think too much of it but I just wondered if anyone else had a similar bug recently?

It could well be a corona symptom to be fair.

Otherwise I would generally just say something you ate/stress! Hope you feel better soon x

I had awful nausea/vomiting and diarrhoea on and off four about 4 weeks ~ I've only properly got over it this past week. I'd have it for a few days, think I was getting better and back it would come. Never felt so ill in my life!

I had a phone consultation with my doctor and got some anti nausea tablets which helped as they sent me to sleep. He said it was probably viral gastroenteritis which can go on for quite a while.

An old friend had this and it turned out to be Covid-19! The only symptoms were nausea and diarrhoea, but because she'd been in contact with someone who had it she got a test, and it was positive. It's a completely weird virus, this one.

I have had this, not corona, mine is caused by stress and anxiety over my job. I have been exercising more and it’s helping. In fact as I write this the knot comes back because I am thinking about it.

Maybe you are just feeling anxious?

I've got this! Just nausea, far worse in the evening/night. I've tried antacids in desperation but it doesn't help much. Been going on about a week now; otherwise feel ok - no temp/cough/breathlessness... it's driving me nuts.

My nephew has been hospitalised for a few days with viral gastroenteritis. Terrible diarrhoea, headache, aching limbs, no nausea but absolutely no appetite, very tired. Thought it was Covid, but all tests are negative

Is it possible you’re pregnant?

If not, could be a bug or virus, or maybe a symptom of anxiety or exhaustion.

I find ginger helps with nausea, especially ginger biscuits.

Hope you feel better soon!

Yes I had it for a couple of weeks along with acid reflux and dizziness. You might be dehydrated. Drink more water and maybe cut down on caffeine for a bit. It could be a stomach bug.
